I have had my 5th lockup in the first two days so wanted to report the issue as I have noticed others are having similar problems. I have no USB devices or SD cards in the machine, it locked for the very first boot before it even made it to the Wii U menu, after the system update my last 4 system hangs have all been within Nintendoland. It may just be a coincidence but I believe those 4 have all occurred when I am trying any of the double coined featured minigames.
Anyone else with this issue?
Also what gives with removing the reset button from the console? And how is the Wii U programmed as such that holding the power button down doesn't safely power it down. That is the case for nearly all electronics. Pulling the plug from the wall or back of the Wii U is not very safe, not to mention horrible for the hardware, I hope you plan on supporting more than a year warranty on this machine if that is the only allowable solution for what seems to already be a machine that commonly locks up. Not to mention you will be looking at class action lawsuits as soon as some poor kid gets electrocuted trying to reboot his system having to pull the cable from the wall.
