So I'm wondering if it'd be okay for me to power off my Wii U with the update stopped because of an error. I found that it had been downloading the update around 6pm or so (I was playing a game and then hit home). Now the system seems to connect to the internet, disconnects, pauses the download, reconnects, starts downloading again, disconnects, pauses, and through this cycle over and over. At the moment, it's paused or stopped completely with an error code 105-4206 (taking a wild guess but probably a generic code or something about not being able to find one with the solution of the typical power cycle the router and all that other fun stuff).
Knowning that someone will come here with the typical internet stuff;
Yes I have done a manual network setup on the Wii U. I've assigned my Wii U a static IP on the router. Yes I have been changing the wireless channel when I find that someone is using the same channel. Yes I have DMZ'd the Wii U. Yes I've powered cycled the router as well.
I have a Netgear DGN2200 modem/router. Yes I know that this isn't listed in Nintendo's supported routers list. I had issues with online games with my 3DS for awhile and then the problems just sort of dissappeared. I know that I can put the thing into modem only mode but then it loses it's internet connection (if it didn't, I'd hook up my linksys e2000 and use it).
An answer about powering down would be nice, and any suggestions to my Wifi issue would be great.
