We used to have no problem sticking in an old Wii game (lego Pirates, lego Batman, several others). It would pop up the main screen, you clicked on the Disc icon, it would tell you to press the A button on the wii controller and the old version would start up no problem.
We didn't play with the WiiU for a couple weeks, it was unplugged, and now when we put in an old Wii game, it sees the disk, starts up the menu but no matter what it does seem to recognize the A button on the wii controller (but the B works to exit). However, if we trun off the WiiU and then hold the B button while it restarts it starts in the old Wii mode and we have no issues playing the game.
Any idea what's up?
Just making it harder to play our old games so we buy new ones?
