I've been having an issue for a while regarding my Deluxe Wii U and the console sporadically and temporarily disconnecting from my Insignia brand TV. I often have this issue while watching videos in the eShop or while playing Virtual Console titles. The two screens (the TV and the Gamepad) will be working fine with both sound and video but periodically the video and audio will disappear from the TV while remaining on the Gamepad screen. After 1 to 2 seconds the TV resumes both video and audio, matching up with the content on the Gamepad screen. I seem to remember having this issue once or twice while playing Wii U disc games, but as I mentioned before, it mostly happens while watching video content or playing VC titles. I do not play the Wii U's Wii mode.
The TV I have is an Insignia 46" NS-46E481A13 REV.A and I am running the Wii U through an HDMI cable plugged directly into the TV. I also have a Wii hooked up through composite cables directly into the TV, a PS3 running an HDMI cable directly into the TV, and a Blu-Ray player using an HDMI cable also directly into the TV. I do not have this issue with any of the other devices I own.
Both the TV and the Wii U are set to 1080p with the 16:9 aspect ratio and audio set to Stereo. My system should be a launch model and is up to date. Any info regarding what might be causing my issue or how to remedy the situation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
