Wii U - multi language support?

I am an expat temporarily living in Japan. I plan to buy the Wii U as soon as it is released in Japan next week.

However, I wonder if the console and the games bought in Japan would have the option to change the language to English.

I know the Wii U is region-locked and I have to live with that. My concern is about the ability to change languages in this Region.
