Hey all,
I've seen a bunch of messages where users have been having issues connecting to the internet, but haven't been able to find anything to help me with my somewhat unusual problem (at least from what I've been seeing). I can connect to the internet just fine - or at the very least, my Wii U says the connection is fine. All the connection tests I've run have worked perfectly. All of my other wireless devices work perfectly. So it's not the router, at least as far as I can logically conclude.
Gotten probably five or six different error codes, all relating to internet issues when trying to set up my Nintendo ID (eventually was successful with this through sheer stubbornness), accessing the eShop (haven't been successful here), and updating Netflix (again, not successful). 111-9000 seems to be the popular one with the eShop.
I've tried plugging the Wii U into a different outlet - someone suggested that they couldn't access the eShop/Netflix because their Wii U wasn't getting enough juice - but that didn't work. Tried elevating the router, which worked for another person - but that didn't work. I guess I could move my TV and Wii U into the room with the router, but I'm hoping to save that as a last resort. Isn't the whole point of installing a wireless chip into the Wii U to avoid having to do that? I even got a wireless adapter - guess what? That also didn't work. Don't need a system update seeing as my Wii U is all up-to-date, which makes sense seeing as how it was released yesterday.
This is really, really bugging me. I got the Zelda bundle and can't even download my digital copy of Windwaker. Also can't watch Netflix, which is the second reason I decided to bite the bullet and upgrade to the Wii U. And everytime I try to call the Nintendo support line, I get an annoying message that says they're too busy and refers me back here.
Hope someone can help!
