Warranty HELP!

Hello,

 

I bought my Wii U aproximately a month ago, but the left analog stick on my gamepad is not working well. I called my local Nintendo warranty provider and they said that I needed the original receipt that I got when I bought the console. The problem is that I moved like 2 weeks ago and I can't find my receipt anywhere! However, I registered my console in Club Nintendo and they said that my warranty was extended for 90 days more. Now, Is the receipt the only way to prove that my console is still within the warranty? Does the registration in Club Nintendo prove anything? pleasee I need to know! My console is new and I don't want to pay like $150 for a new gamepad!
