So I recently bought a Deluxe Wii U, set it up fine, and it connected to the internet well. However, the update took a little while not due to the download speed, but due to the drops in connection. I constantly had to restart the download.
Skipping forward a few days later, and it's apparent the Wii U just won't cooperate with my wireless connection. Miiverse constantly gives me errors, my download manager tells me that the Wii U is connected, disconnected, connected, etc. my WaraWaraPlaza sometimes gets filled with the stoic general Nintendo Mii's. Nintendo Land will constantly have to ask me if I'd like Miiverse interaction in the plaza (even though I believe I'm connected). So it's just a cluster of hang ups.
All my other devices (3DS included) connect fine, so it must be the WiiU. Now I'll break it down to make it easier to assist.
Service Provider: Verizon FiOS
Connection Type: Wireless
Configuration: Had tried both Manual and Auto Configuration. Same results for each. (8.8.8.8 and all that jazz)
Error Codes: 121-9998 was the most recent.
Problem Apps: Amazon (Can't connect to internet), Miiverse (Constant errors, HTML script?), Nintendoland (Inconsistent Miiverse Interaction)
Solutions Attempted: DMZ Applied, Port Forwarding Attempted, Router Channel switched from 1, 10, 11, Automatic, Manual Configuration, Patience.
So yeah. Please, I'd really love to start enjoying my Wii U, but all these hiccups are frustrating. Any possible information to help me out? I'll give Nintendo a call if that's what it takes.
