Hi all,
I have been having this problem with my Wii U ever since I purchased it. For information, the console was purchased shortly after it was released in November of 2012. It was given as a Christmas gift and was first set up on Dec. 25, 2012. On Dec. 31, 2012 the gamepad suddenly lost connection with the console unless it was sitting on the console and would not stay connected anywhere else. I contacted tech support and they got it set up with a repair. I sent it in and recieved it back and the issue was resolved with the repair form saying what they did to the console was a repair. At the end of March of 2013, the same problem occured. I once again contacted tech support and had a repair set up. When I got the console back, everything was in good order once again with the repair form saying they replaced a part. Now today, March 9, 2014, the same problem has occured again. I have never had so many problems with a Nintendo product before, which is very disheartening, but I also cannot explain why the same problem keeps occuring after two previous repairs. The console and gamepad have both been taken care of (i.e. regular cleaning to remove dust) and have not been exposed to any significant trauma. Everytime this problem occurs I run through all the troubleshooting procedures that tech support has me run through every time I call, but they have never worked. I do not understand what could be causing this problem, but I do know for certain it has nothing to do with enviroment since I have moved to a new location during the summer of 2013. When this problem first occured, I scoured the forums, but there was nothing on here with a post with a problem similar to this one. Any help to understand this problem would be appreciated.
