Question regarding Nintendo ID and Club Nintendo link.

Hi, I just bought a Wii U (I'm from South America, Perú) and I made the "mistake" (apparently, it was a "mistake") of creating a Nintendo ID and setting my country of residence as Perú. SO naturally, I configured the same country on the console itself only to find out that I was not able to download YouTube, Hulu, NetFlix (to which I have a subscription) and I'm not able to link my Club Nintendo account (in which I have a couple of games registered) nor take advantage of the coins per software/hardware promotion.

So my question is: Is there a reason I should set my ID and/or console to my ACTUAL country of residence? So far it looks like I made a mistake that I regrest (cause I always could just create another account but my nickname, the one I've used since I remember is now locked to this ID that doesn't let me do anything....)

Anyway I could ask Nintendo to delete the ID BUT to let me create a new one with the same nick? Or a way to change the country of residence? Cause so far the whole ID/linking of accounts is serving no purpose other than to preventing me from doing ANYTHING.

It seems as if Nintendo is actually "punishing" me for creating an account in a country other than USA/Canada or Mexico.

I hate to say it but Nintendo made this whole thing a lot messier than they needed to. They should reconsider the whole locking up the accounts.

Thanks.
