Dear Readers,
I just bought a refurbished Wii U from nintendo with a free one year warenty as part of their 200$ sale. Got it last Thursday. Set it up. Worked fine. Until I tried online applications such as the eShop and Miiverse. They didn't work. Also Updates wouldn't work. I tried a bunch of other stuff like a repeater and using a ipad as a hotspot. The hotspot works but its not ideal. Called nintendo's support line. They told me to that the Wii U could function with out a television and that i should plug it in closer to my router. Thats what i did. Put it in my sister's room which is next to the room with the router. It worked fine in my sisters room. But it wasn't ideal because she didn't want me in her room anyways. So I moved it to my room (which is about 3 rooms away. It still worked fine. Today I put it in the same spot were it worked fine the previos day and it didn't work. Fast foward to right now and i keep having to move it closer and closer to the router (with no tv too mind you). Also note the fact that my wii (which uses the same wifi as my Wii U and is on the other side of my house and works fine), ds lite, dsi, and 3ds have the same wifi and work with flying colors. (Also a side problem: sometimes the gamepads music playing in some title will stop and turn on at random accaisions ( for example miiverse and nintendo land)) Will I have to buy a whole new television and keep on having to move my wii u down the hallway completely until it gets to my router! please help
