I already had a Wii U, and purchased the Mariokart 8 bundle separately for my son. I do not want to create an online account for him because he is so young, and I planned on downloading the free game to the original Wii U console which is already linked and registered to Nintendo Network/Club Nintendo. I cannot add the existing Wii U to my account because only one can be linked at a time. My question is: can I temporatily link my Nintendo ID to the new machine, register it,get the code for the free game to download, then set it back to my original machine, and download the game? It wouldn't be as big of a deal for me if I didn't already have DLC on the original Wii U, and I'm trying to keep it all together in one area. Or am i going to have to make a new Nintendo Network ID and a new Club Nintendo Account?
