My download code does not work.

I used my coins on my Club Nintendo account to buy Paper Mario for my Wii U and the download code will not work. The nintendo shop is saying that the item is not in distribution, even though Club Nintendo says that the game is available untill early next month (8/3).                                                                                 I am also unable to claim gold member status rewards despite being a gold member for days now. Is the site/eshop having issues?
