Broken Wii U pad repair number

Hi. I've got a broken Wii U pad, which is completely fine aside from a crack in the screen that makes it impossible to see anything (the majority of the screen in black). Last week I called customer service and told them about this and that I wanted to get my pad repaired. I was told how much the repair would cost, was asked for my e-mail adress, mailing address (I live in Canada, btw), and credit card number. Then I was given a number 9 digit number. I was also told that I would get an e-mail with further instructions. I've been checking my e-mails, including the junk folder, and I haven't gotten any e-mail as of yet. My e-mail address is a little bit complicated to spell out over the phone and there's a chance that the person I was talking to got it down wrong. To add to the difficulty, for some reason there also seemed to be a delay in my voice reaching him over the phone, which is strange cuz that's never happened any other time I've called customer service. Furthermore, I sent a message about this to nintendo's customer service through the official site and haven't gotten a reply to that yet either (although I sent that yesterday, should I have to wait longer than one work day?). Anyways, maybe I just got confused or misunderstood about how to proceed after setting up the repair back when I called customer service, so I'm hoping someone here might know and help me out. Should I be doing something with that 9 digit number?

(I'm not a game director, btw... I made this name a long time ago, back when I was about to pursue a career in game design, and wish I could change the name now, lol)
