I searched, but didn't see anyone running into a similar problem. Hopefully someone can shed some light on this situation b/c I have no idea at this point.
I have (had) a ton of VC and WiiWare games on my Wii collecting dust in the closet. I purchased a Wii U and SD card last week and decided to do the transfer after reading through the instructions. Seemed like a long, but fairly straight forward process.
Everything was going fine until, during the Pikmin cutscene, I noticed that the progress bar was moving pretty fast. At the top of the screen I saw that only Mii and game save data was coming over. Once the sequence was done, sure enough in the summary it only listed Mii and save data - NO GAMES!
Loaded the SD card into the Wii U to finish, hoping that the games were on there, just not listed. Nope. No games.
Switched back over to the Wii console and all of the game channels were gone. Back on the Wii U, in the Wii menu, no game channels. Checked the SD card, nothing, only the save data.
Did I just lose all of my VC games doing a legitimate transfer?
