I'm not sure if I am the only person experiencing this problem, but I'm having a terrible time with the HDMI. Now unlike others I don't have any flashing blue light, but HDMI is very unreliable. I tried different cables and different TV's. My 2 LG TVs will not display any image at all and my Seiki will show an image, but whenever I try and switch over from Wii mode to Wii U mode I lose the signal and have to restart the TV to see an image. I cannot use Netflix at all. I can get to the menu, but when I hit play the HDMI connection goes blue screen and that's that. Nothing.
Anyone else having this problem? I have tested things over and over and although I can actually get an image I can't believe they actually produced a product that only works on certain TVs and doesn't even display a Netflix movie.
What do I need to do? I can't take it back because they are sold out. I assume if I have to ship it in I will be without it for a month if I am lucky. Argh! I hope they have good customer service and don't give me the run around.
I suppose I might just be able to run it with the component cable I have left from my Wii, but when you spend $350 you would like it to work right.
EDIT: I tried it with the component cable and it does work properly so I guess I will just live with it and hope a software update along the way fixes the problem with the HDMI.
