I did the Wii Transfer Channel stuff and am dissapointed Nintendo stripped all the good WiiConnect24 stuff out. Even tho they made it transfer the Wii Speak Channel to Wii U, it is useless without WiiConnect24. All you get is a error saying the WiiConnect24 settings aren't properly set. Please Nintendo, work on updateing the Wii Channel to have WiiConnect24 back! There are plenty of people who'd love to be able to communicate with Original Wii users, plus it'd keep all legit Wii Speak users with a wii speak mic&channel on Wii U now happy to still have access too enstead of being stuck with a mic and no way to use it. Heck, it also sucks to not have access to Wii's Opera Internet Browser Channel (it had limited Shockwave Flash 7.0!), Weather,News and Photo channels. Only things the Wii U can't do in Wii mode is the sleep mode that would let the system ping the Connect24 pop3 message sever, and light that Blue LED apon pop3 showing a new message to download. That's it, so no Connect24 menu is just a bad lazy idea!
