Hello!
I've come across an error that crops up whenever I attempt to do the most recent (folders?) update. I get a screen telling me to check the error code 162-3006 on support.nintendo.com. The site prompted me to call, so I talked with two very helpful reps and my only option seems to be to pay some cash (my warranty is over) and be out a console I use pretty regularly for 2-3 weeks. I cant really afford to send it in, and I'd also like to not be without a console. Is there anything I can do?
I've restarted the console, downloaded the update, then restarted, then tried to install, and changed my DNS settings to something the customer service people said (209.244.000.003/209.244.000.004) and also something the internet said (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 iirc) Personally, I doubted either of those fixes would work as my problem lies with the installation of the update, and not the downloading.
As of now it seems ill be buying repairs instead of Smash Bros, but I was wondering if anyone here had any sort of ideas: googling the error code didnt help much either, but maybe someone on here has an idea.
