Mii's "Been playing: " does not change. (WaraWara Plaza)

I noticed something with my Mii in the WaraWara Plaza screen. I recently played Assassin's Creed 3. So it makes sense that whenever I boot up my Wii U, my Mii will say "Been playing: Assassin's Creed 3". But whenever I play a different game, let's say for example Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge and played it for quite some time, my Mii is still saying "Been playing: Assassin's Creed 3".

Is this normal? Do I need to play a game which exceeds the play time of AC3? This also happened the first time I used my Wii U. It always says "Been playing: Miiverse" even though I've played numerous other Wii U games on the console.
