I almost exclusively play my Wii U through the gamepad screen since I don't have a TV in my room, so I don't know what this would look like when playing on a TV, but I've noticed that in some rare instances when playing a game like Mario Kart or Smash Bros, I'll get slow down, lag, and even screen tearing, even when there's nothing particularly intense going on. Just this morning in Smash Bros the game was chugging as if something really extraordinary were happening even though I was just choosing a challenge in Master Orders, and there have been times in Mario Kart where I'd get extreme slow down even despite being in the lead on a fairly tame section of a track. The worst case was today when in a Smash match, the screen tearing split the screen in half, the bottom half being extremely to the right and the top way to the left for a good second. I have a hard time believing these are problems with the games, so I'm wondering if I might have something wrong with my system or gamepad. I play just a few feet away from the system, and I generally take good care of all my hardware, so what could it be?
