I am curious as to the function of this in the download management. I have had the Wii U day one had have been keeping up with the major patches/updates so I may not be able to utilize this feature to its full potential compared to a new user. My question is will this do a system wide check to see if anything is in need of a software update? If not, it seems a bit redundant since the status of the currently downloaded software is the first thing shown in the download management. I am also confused to the point of Check Download Environment since it is the first thing that shows up in download management. It seems very redudant and an odd design choice in comparisson to other gaming systems.
