So Nintendo has the new "Wii" in the works, other then irritating me by announcing it so soon into the Wii U's life cycle, I'm gonna leave that alone. Let's address some of the things the Wii U fails as. Under my TV it lacks some very useful features namely: It does not play DVDs, Netflix and many apps require the use of a game pad, highly inconvenient if your game pad dies.... Netflix is clunky, and lacks an auto play feature. It cannot be used as media server. If you're trying to move your game files around, give up, you can't really move files. Your games are splendid but for whatever reason, your Wii is highly unlikely to display a proper amount of storage remaining. Oh, the launch menu is cool, except it lacks a default user option.(confusing to my family who have to switch from their profile to my profile to launch Netflix properly) The launch menu is buggy, and you'll often click an option only for your Wii to ignore it and take to you to the launch screen again. The amount of Storage that the Wii U comes with is appalling,(32gigs of Flash memory is $15 at my Local bestbuy, but my $350 console only came with 32) if you're inclined to not give your money to the smelly neck beards at GameStop etc. You'll be disappointed to find that digitally purchasing your games isn't really viable. You'll rapidly need to expand your Storage, if you'd like to use more than one storage extension you'll be sad to find out that isn't possible. Also, you can't change your home menu, not exactly necessary, but also disappointed me. Nintendo, Kill the Wii U softly, or come up with a clever way to make it into a next-gen box. I don't really wanna have to buy a PS4, but with the short life expectancy of the Wii U, I certainly wish I had waited for it instead.
