So, I bought my kids the Amiibo characters for their presents. Little did I know that these things are nothing more than an AI friend! You can't actually use them to play Super Smash Bros, you can only fight against them and build their strength! How do you promote this as a Skylander type setup? Explaining this to a 6 year old who loves Nintedo was difficult. He thinks it's stupid he can't use his character to fight with! And to top it off, you can only put a suit on in Mario Cart 8! Not to mention, one of the characters aren't compatible with MC8!!! What gives Nintendo!?!?!? Now my kids are playing Marvel on their Xbox 360 and have left the Amiibo's to collect dust, in less than 20 minutes!
Why would anyone want a character they can't use in the game? It's basically and collector for coins and tools/equipment for different games. Nothing more! Try to help me understand the purpose of the things other than what I stated above.
