This is an attempt to give FEEDBACK to nintendo, as i cant find any other way of doing so.
here we are again, nintendo is getting ready to release prime trilogy for wii u. I would be extremely excited if it had gamepad controlability. No i dont mean point and shoot with the stylus, im talking about dual joy stick control, or pro controller features.
metroid prime and echoes are hands down my favorite games ever. Ill never get bored of them. I have them both on gc discs that i use with my wii. the wii seamed to feature only wii controller and nunchuck usage for pretty much ALL its games, and this is the single reason that for me, personally, the wii is the worst console of the few i have owned. (Even the sega saturn)
i am a casual yet competative payer, and kinda lazy. Silly things like needing to keep my arm up in a certain position to aim is just stupid.
having said so, prime 3, while having great puzzle elements, sucked. Whelp now i will be burned by the mobs for saying so. Not only was it dumbed down, graphics were terrible, (worse than prime one) but everything was cartoony and i hated that. (Probably why i think the graphics sucked. Rather, the graphics were good but the esthetics sucked.) on top of that you have motion controlls. Ive never played a game where i thought, " i wish i could immitate the action my character on screen is performing." Nope, not once. So why was it that people covet the crappy motion controls? No, really im confused about that. I find the gc controlls for prime much much more intuitive and easier to use.
bottom line is, if the trilogy doesnt have control schemes other than the wii motion controls, then i wont buy it. Ill stick with my gc version with 4:9....
so far i have found every wii u game ive played to be much better because i didnt have to worry if my controller was pointed directly at my stupid tv or not. The tablet isma great idea. Motion controls were not.
am i alone? Am i a heretic in a pool of pirhanas? Will i be burned at the stake for my opinions or are there some of you out there who feel the same way?
the thing is, i want mpt, but not at the cost of the experience. Remember, i find gc's clunky controls far superior to wii mote.
