My Wii U will not start after accidentally unplugging it.

I know, this has probably been asked millions of times, but I have to ask this.

Why?

Why will my wii u not start up?

The thing is, I didnt unplug it during any update... (I dont think, unless it may have been a background update)

Heres the full story.

I wanted to play Super Mario Bros. U one night, and I had just moved into a new room, so it wasnt plugged in completely. Mom and I plugged in the Wii U, and I started up the console.

It went to the home menu, as expected. Just a side note, my Wii U survived the first update. This was NOT the first update glitching my Wii U.

And then, about 3 minutes afterwards (after getting the game out of this pile of wii u games that I own), my mom accidentally unplugged the Wii U, to plug in my DS charger. She meant to unplug a lamp that had a similar plug, and then, when plugging the Wii U back in, it wouldnt start...

Well, I shouldnt say that.

It would start... For about 3 seconds, then turn right back off, making the light turn red...

Basically, the light went blue for 3 seconds, then red, and if I were to turn the console on with the gamepad, it would just say "Could not connect to the Wii U console. Please move the Wii U GamePad closer to the console. Then turn the Wii U GamePad's power off and on again.". What a pain.

I really was hoping to play Super Mario Bros. U...

Anyway. What is wrong with my Wii U, and how can I fix it?

(on a side note, I dont care about any data on my Wii U, I havent made any real progress on any game so far, and I was hoping to change that today)
