I have a game-crashing issue with Batman Arkham City, which WB Games is fixing, but with a new disc. I asked them why a disc is needed and I was told that "Unfortunately, the way that Nintendo works, updates to the disc version of the games cannot be done online. They require a re-mastered disc."
I found this confusing because Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed had at least two patches, one to fix a fairly major issue, and of course neither of those fixes required new discs. Could anyone explain what the difference between the issue with one game is and the issue with the other? Obviously I don't want to be in the habit of sending all my discs away for replacement.
