What are the limitations with using a console in US and Europe intermittently

Hello,

We live intermittently in Europe (Germany, where PAL systems are in use) and in New York City (NTSC).

In three weeks we will come to New York for a while and we plan purchasing there a new Wii U console. When we return to Germany we plan taking the console with us, and then on our next trip to NYC we will move it again, etc.

We are aware that by purchasing a US console we actually limit ourselves to purchasing games in US, because in Germany all discks will be PAL. Yet, if we decide to purchase the console in Europe we will have the opposite problem (we'll have to buy discs only in Europe). We opted for the NTSC version.

Are there additional limitations we do not see right now?

(1) The console probably comes with a 110V charger. Is it possible to purchase an additional charger, that is 220V? or should we use a transformer?

(2) Will we suffer from limitations concerned with connecting, communicating and downloading from the Internet? Will Miiverse work for us while we are in Germany? Will we be able to download games while in Europe? (I believe there should be no problem, but we should better check).

(3) Can someone confirm that we will have no problem when connecting accessories to the console? For example, we alreay plan buying a Wii Balance Board and Wii Fit U, when available. We can purchase it either in US or in Europe, correct? Or maybe we are wrong...?

(4) Does Wii U have region lock?

(5) anything else we do not think about?

Thank you.
