I recently got Monster Hunter Ultimate, and when I tried to go online I get disconnected when I try to enter a room, and when I go to miiverseI disconnect there too, and it starts as plain text, then goes to normal after I move around a couple pages, and then I disconnect from that too.
So I guess it isn't no connection, but very bad because I can view all the games on Monster Hunter, but when I play the old one on the Wii it's fine. And me and my brother can both connect with our 3ds, so it's a problem just with the Wii U.
I tried putting in everything manually, including IP, gateway, and subnet mask. I also used the google DNS servers. I really don't see what's wrong, every other system we have connects just fine, and I try to make sure noones playing another game while i'm connected, so i don't think that's the problem.
