Ok, so first off, I've tried everything from power cycling my router to resetting my browser settings. One problem is that YouTube videos on the Wii U browser don't work anymore unless I delete the "watch?v=" part in the URL and replace it with "embed/" which I've NEVER had to do until just this morning. Videos were working just fine last night. When I go to a regular video URL, everything loads, even all of the buttons at the bottoms of YouTube videos. However, the thumbnail and big red "play" button don't appear like they should so when I click on the video to play it, nothing happens.
Again, the bottom bar of the videos appear as usual, including the time (although after it loads, it only shows "00:00/00:00), resolution settings, mini play/pause button, slider, fullscreen button, etc. which is different than the big solid black box that most people get when YouTube messes up. However, the thumbnail and big red play button do not appear and cannot play the video unless I use the method I mentioned above. I don't get what happened between last night and this morning that caused it to do that and why nobody I've seen has the same exact issue.
That's one problem. However the biggest problem only started happening yesterday (when YouTube was acting normally) and is still happening today. Every 5 or so minutes while I'm watching a video on YouTube, all of a sudden the video will stop and an error message pops up with an error code: 112-2006
What's really weird is that nobody seems to have ever had this error code happen to them. I searched Google, YouTube, and even called Nintendo a little bit ago and they said they have never heard of this error before and they're gonna send it up the chain to try to figure out what it is. Also, everything else on the Wii U works just fine. Miiverse, online multiplayer, eShop all work fine. It's only YouTube on the browser that this happens to, as far as I know. Now again, this only started happening yesterday. Before then, everything was working just fine and dandy.
Now I am wondering not how to fix these issues (although I would so greatly appreciate it if you had anysuggestions), but if ayone on here has ever encountered them at all. I am at a loss and I refuse to use the YouTube app on the Wii U because I do not like it at all. It's clunky, unstable, and slow. Thanks for reading and I would appreciate any response if you have any idea on what is happening.
