Bugs and comments (Youtube, Netflix, TVii, HBO Go)

First, I'm reporting a bug: When playing for a while the Gamepad's "home" button stops working -- push it, and nothing happens. I cannot get out of the game without turning the Wii U off then back on again. This only happens after playing it for a while, not immediately when starting the game. The only game I have is Skylanders Giants, so I cannot test if it happens on any other game.  When this occurs, the "home" button on Wiimotes and Pro Controller also stop working.  Please fix this bug. Its very unimpressive to have to power-cycle the whole device just to get out of a game -- and this is a new console!  Also, I emailed this same comment to Nintendo support via your webform, but the only reply I got was "please contact our Consumer Service Department by calling 1-800-255-3700 any time between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m".  I don't have time to call and sit on hold just to tell you about a bug in your system. How about a more efficient way for customers to report bugs and feedback?  Also note that I reported this bug to Activision (developer of Skylanders) but they said it was Nintendo's fault.

Also, the Wii U system is extremely slow to start any app on the Wii U. Its slower than the original Wii, and slower than Xbox360.  I often continue clicking the app on the gamepad several times because it doesn't appear to even be responding, and gives me no initial indication that its doing anything other than just sitting there.  For being a new console its quite annoying to wait so long to do anything, even starting or navigating in TVii is VERY slow (why should it take 2 inutes to start TVii?). Please fix your bloated OS to speed things up, or else upgrade the system's CPU to one with a higher clock speed. My 32G Wii U is fully updated with current OS versions according to the update feature.

Also, TVii doesn't have hockey.  Why not?  And you really ought to consider having a useful DRV system for this console.  If it worked smoothly and quickly like Tivo then you'd really have a value-add for your console.

Also, Netflix app on the U does not function with the Wiimotes or the Wii U Pro Controller... you can only navigate it with the Gamepad.  But what if the gamepad battery is dead?  Every other part of the U is supposed to be navigable with the other controllers, but Netflix doesm't.  I've told Netflix about this as well.

Also, YouTube app for Wii U is absolutely the WORST app I've ever used on any gaming console. Its clear to me that they didn't finish building it. The gamepad isn't utilized (hardly), searching, browsing, sorting, all looks like alpha. Worthless navigation. And playback simply doesn't work... just queuing endlessly. They really need to have someone take a look at this piece of trash they call an app in make it usable.  I also told YouTube/Google about this, but not sure if they care.

Lastly, HBO Go needs come to the Wii U.  You are trying to claim the dominant spot for total livingroom entertainment, and HBO Go is a major streaming media piece that the U doesn't have.  The fact that I have to have an Xbox360 and pay Microsoft $10/month for their Live internet feed, just so I can watch HBO GO, is pretty absurd.  There is no way for me to contact HBO to make this request, so I'm asking Nintendo... if you care.  Nintendo should be pushing hard to get all the steaming media options they can, especially HBO, seeing as how they have some of the best shows on TV.

If you want your console to be a success, you need to have quality functional apps, and to not be buggy.  I hope you can address some of my points above.
