I'm currently at university and have had no problems at all with my gamepad's connection to the Wii U. Last night my roommate purchased the Xbox 1 and I started having the video in game skip and at one point the gamepad even disconnected for about half a second. I have not yet been able to try playing while my roommate is not on his xbox, but the only thing that has changed since yesterday is th new console in the room. Also, I was sitting right next to my wii u when the disconnection happened.
