So, as the title says, when I use the Quick-Start menu to launch a game, in this case Mario Kart 8, I have extreme reduction in video quality on my Television.
- Quality on the Gamepad is unaffected.
- Quality on the TV:
- Blurry
- Screen tears
- Loss in Color-Depth
- Resembles "480p" quality
The problem still persists even after closing software and going to the Wii U Menu.
THE PROBLEM CAN BE SOLVED BY GOING INTO SETTINGS > TV > TV RESOLUTION > THEN RESELECTING YOUR DESIRED RESOLUTION.
For those curious, I'm using a black Wii U Deluxe with 16gb purchased about 1 year ago. The HDMI cable that came bundled with the console. A 55-inch LED Samsung TV 240Hz.
