I bought a new Mario and Luigi Deluxe Bundle a couple days ago and set it up as well as putting the latest update (5.0.0) on it, didn't have any problems with it, didn't unplug it during the update or anything like that. And then i tried using the Standby Functions and Quick Start Menu, I enabled both options, then after a couple of hours of exploring the system and playing some games I shut it down.
The orange LED was blinking and when i came back to it about 30 minutes later it was still blinking. I pressed the power button on the game pad and it said that the quick start menu wasn't ready and that I should turn off the game pad and try again later. It also game me the option to boot up the Wii U menu, I selected that option and after a minute it said "could not connect to the console" the whole time the Orange LED is still blinking i tried to press the power button on the console and it did nothing. The only thing I could think of was to do a force shutdown. When i tried to turn it on again it loaded up to the Wii U menu. If I disable the quick start menu option the message about "cannot connect to console" still pops up when it is in standby.
The good new is if I disable those options the console works fine. Just wondering if the Standby and Quick Start Options are seperate issues or if they are connected to one another and has anyone heard of this happening?
