Hello.
I need some advice regarding storage space on my Wii U Deluxe.
I had a Wii with a lot of Virtual Console games. I transferred all of the Virtual Console games to the Wii U then got ride of the physical Wii so I play everything on the Wii U now.
A few months after I did this, Nintendo launched the Virtual Console for Wii U so of course I had to pay $1 to get all my favorite old school games to the new Wii U console.
I noticed that when I launch the Wii console, then open Virtual Console, all of the origianl games and save status persists.
My question is this:
Is there any advantage aside from freeing up hard drive space, in going back to the Wii Virtual Console and deleting the games that I now also purchased on the Wii U virtual console?
This also got me thinking about backup. I have long since formatted the SD card that I used to transfer the content from the Wii to the Wii U. If this physical Wii U dies for some reason, have I lost all of my games? Are there any options to back up virtual console games?
Final question - Nintendo seemed to be quick to update old games to be available for the Wii Virtual Console. I haven't seen that big a push to do same on the Wii U Virtual Console. For example less popular games like Final Fight, Bases Loaded, Elevator Action (and many more) are not yet available on the Wii U virtual console. Anyone know if Nintendo has some type of release schedule for when (or if) games will be made available?
