Homemade wii u gamepad screen protector???

hi! i was wondering if i could use glad cling wrap as a screen protecter for my gamepad. I already tested it i can use the touch screen and games fine i was just wodnering if it would damge the screen or gamepad. I want to use a homemade one becuase the one i bought (biogenik) failed becuase it was confusing and hard to put on. If i can't is the rocketfish screen protecter anygood? Is it easy to put on? Thanks!
