Hello,
A sad day its been for me. I bought my Wii U about 6 months ago from a Game Stop in California. Even though I only bought it 6 months ago my 1 year warranty is expired .. HOW?? Because they sold me a used console as brand new. Great.
Anyways. Everything was fine. I only rarely played the 1 game I had which was Need For Speed Most Wanted , and I had left the game in the console for about 3 months. Now the game won't eject. I've tried restarting, unlplugging, replugging, holding eject, updating, etc. I've tried every suggestion I have found online so far.
Now.. I mainly bought the system because Smash Bros!! I was excited it would eventually come out and now that it has, just bought the game came home from the store and TRY to pop it in but NOPE. Can't eject the old game.
Anyways, as my warranty is expired I figure I might as well try before i send it in to Nintendo for $109 or to a local tech center for ~ $50 . I have the tools needed and I Know how to get TO the disk Drive, however once I have it - How the heck do I get the game out with out damaging any of the other functionality?
Any tips on how to safely remove the disk manually is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Wii U - 8gb Standard (White) / Model: WUP-001(02)
