Hi, here's the situation.
Last year my friend sold me his Wii U that he registered his NNID on.
The other day he bought a new one. In order to register his NNID on his new device he had to call Nintendo to have it migrated to his new console. They did this for him quickly.
However, now it seems that his user is stuck on my console, and my theory is that because of this he cannot connect with me online. This may not be the case, but he is really the ONLY person I can't play online with. I get an error code when I attempt to connect with him. I've been through every other troubleshooting tutorial. The error code is 118-0513 (Failed to connect to partner's device).
We tried connecting in every way we thought possible. My friends would make a room, I'd join them, he attemp to join and couldn't. We can't join each other's rooms. He can't join mine. But we each can successfully connect to everyone else's room just fine... as long as me (his old console) and him (his new console) aren't in the same room.
The migration that he did seems to have also made it to where I can't delete his old user profile to which it says his NNID is still linked. I thought deleting it might solve the problem, but none of his passwords work to allow me to try that (I'm guessing some block that Nintendo has put in place).
Any ideas? It's kind of a weird situation.
