I Got my Wii u deluxe black set for Christmas and i even got monster hunter 3 ultimate from my aunt for it too and everything worked fine with the internet (excluding the Christmases server crashes). I played online a few times but for the past few days i have not been able to join any rooms and now i can’t even get on network mode for it (browsing game lobbies) i always get the error 102-2107 and now i can't even connect to any services like eshop or miiverse, internet browser works fine though. i have tried as best i could by setting up a connection manually which sometimes says i am connected to the internet and sometimes it doesn’t work so what is going on?! I would really appreciate some support with this!

Wii U Gamepad touchscreen unresponsive

Hi folks,

So I was playing New Super Mario Bros. U (with Wiimotes), and after I finshed playing, I pressed the home button on the gamepad. The touchscreen was unresponsive, though, so I figured it was just a hitch, and I pressed the "Wii U Menu" on screen with the Wiimote. However, upon returning to the Wii U Menu, the gamepad was still unresponsive.

I turned off and on the Wii U, and the touchscreen was still unresponsive. Even more problematic is the fact I can not log into the Wii U now, due to the fact I have to enter my account password on the touchscreen. The screen itself is not frozen, just the touchscreen is unresponsive. I used the touchscreen to start NSMBU, however I don't recall using it in-game, so the problem may have started then.

I unplugged the power cable from the Wii U, waited 30 seconds, still no response. I tried resyncing the Gamepad, which made the touchscreen register the press as if you were touching the bottom right or so of the screen, no matter where you touch. I wanted to try recalibrating the Gamepad touchscreen, but from my understanding I can only do that if I'm logged in, which is impossible to do, as I can't seem to navigate the on-screen keyboard with the D-pad or the analog sticks. Understand that the gamepad doesn't appear to be frozen, the screens still change and move as they should, the touchscreen simply is not working. I have not dropped or damaged the gamepad at all.

As you can imagine, this situation is very frusturating, so any help or information is greatly appreciated.

Wrong time on Wii Fit U Meter driving me NUTS

Been playing wii fit u for a couple of days now, love it.

Got home from work a bit late tonight, noticed a bunch of squirrelly stuff when syncing. Long story short, my system clock on the console was off by an hour, so my walking home steps got attributed to tomorrow. No big deal, I go reset the system clock. The fit board seemed miffed, made a charming remark about time travel, sorta mad me start over but no big deal.

I have now sync'd the meter at least three times and the clock is still wrong. Anyone have any idea how to force a sync on the clock?

Sonic Lost World - Freezing, Stuttering

I got Sonic Lost World for Christmas, mostly been lovin' it. I was at my grandmother's the first few days after I got it and it played very smoothly, even two rooms away from the console (slight lag occasionally simply from being away from the system, but nothing else)! However, since I got home, I have had multiple issues with stuttering sound (sometimes in speech, like the Deadly Six's mid-level taunts, and other times in music), and worst of all, a complete freeze during a cutscene! This freeze was especially annoying because it was post-stage and I had lost my progress on that level, and now every time I finish a stage I'm scared to death it'll happen again to the point I can't even enjoy the cutscene.

Other than Lost World, I did have ONE instance of music stuttering in Dr. Luigi, while Super Mario 3D World and other games have worked flawlessly. After the Dr. Luigi instance, I moved the system so it would be closer and less obstructed between it and the gamepad, and now I only continue to experience issues in Lost World (so far only in stuttering, but I've only completed two levels since because I'm deathly afraid of another freeze).

I think I may know the issue. I was able to obtain a Wind Waker HD edition gamepad recently from a private seller. However, when I went up to my grandmother's, I brought my original gamepad instead so as to not damage the new one in any way. Since I started using the Wind Waker one after coming back home, I'm thinking maybe because it wasn't the one packaged with my system, the connection between the two may be faulty. Anyone know if there's any credibility to this theory, or what the issue may be? I'm playing a downloaded copy of the game through the system memory, if that makes a difference.

Thanks!

So I just got my deluxe Wii U Zelda bundle today and I was very excited to play it.

Things were running real smooth until I decided to play nintendo land...In the middle of one of the games, an error popped up and recommended me to shut off the Wii U to restart.... So I turn off my Wii U and turn it back on... All I see now is the Wii U logo on both my tv and gamepad screen.. Its been the same for the past 30 minutes. I unplugged the Wii U because I was leaving the house. When I got back I plugged it back in and i'm still having problems..... I don't know what to do I really dont want to send it to Nintendo. Does anybody have any suggestions on how I could fix this problem?

Can wii to WiiU transfers stack?

I finally found out that you could transfer Wii system data to a WiiU. Giving the person the ability to access the games from the WiiU and removing them from the Wii.

My question is:

Can you transfer multiple Wii's to one WiiU?

I have two Wiis and want to transfer both systems to one WiiU. So that I can play all the downloaded games that I bought on the WiiU.

Wii U will not turn on, blinking red light......

Well, I tried to power up my console today and it will not turn on. Tried unpluging it for 30 minutes or so and nothing. It's not an update thing since I udated back in December. I have a disc in the drive and cannot get it out either. I have checked the forums here for a solution, to no avail. I also checked the ac adapter with a multimeter, which is showing 15v on the plug so it's not a "power brick" problem. Not looking forward to navigating Nintendo's 800. I'm thinking the blinking red light is the equivelent to microsoft's red ring of death. I'll post back with updates.

Music Streaming For Wii U?

I have been a Nintendo customer and life long fan, which brings up the question, why are there no music streaming apps on Nintendo Wii U? It would be nice to play music while in game with Last.fm, Pandora, Spotify, etc. Imagine being able to jam out while playing your favorite game, wouldn't it be great? So I ask you will Nintendo ask Last.fm/Spotify/Pandora if they will be a part of the system? Because I know that music is part of everyones lives. It is certainly a part of mine.

Controller backward compatibility for Wii VC

I have a concern with the compatibilty of the controllers with the Wii U, specifically the titles of the virtual console of the Wii part of the Wii U (let's call it the "emulated Wii"), and I would need to know what is my best option. Let me explain:

We recently bought a Wii U, which we absolutely LOVE. However, we had and still have our Wii, on which we downloaded Virtual Console (VC) titles of the N64, SNES and NES. One of them is Mario Party 2 on the N64. We enjoy playing this game 4-player, it being a party game. Back on the Wii, we didn't bother buying any classic controllers as we already owned 4 gamecube controllers, which were compatible with all SNES and N64 VC games. Now that we transfered our Wii data over to the Wii U, you can guess we ran into a small issue: our N64 and SNES titles are unplayable, because the Wii U doesn't support GC controllers and its "emulated Wii" does not support the Wii U Pro controller. When I did the transfer, there were absolutely no mention of this, despite many other warnings. I wish there had been, because I would have reconsidered the transfer (which is not reversible).

I understand that the Wii U is not compatible with GC controllers and that it shouldn't be, this is normal and makes sense. What I don't understand is that the VC on the "emulated Wii" of the Wii U doesn't support the new Wii U Pro controller. Because we often play 4-players on both the Wii U, the Wii and their virtual consoles. This would basically require 15 controllers for a single console (1 Gamepad, 4 Wiimotes, 4 Wii U Pro controller and 4 classic controllers), which is completly ridiculous. After searching a bit, I have considered a few options, for which I need further clarification:

1. GC controller to Wiimote adapters by third parties. However, given the fact that when you start a N64 game on the "emulated Wii" it will not start the game if you only have a Wiimote connected, I wonder if these will actually work for my purpose (will the emulated Wii recognize it as a GC/Classic controller or as a Wiimote, since the signal is ultimately sent by the Wiimote?)

2. GC controller to USB adapter by third parties. Again, will these work on VC titles or are they simply good for Wii titles that enables you to use a GC controller (ex Mario Kart Wii). Their descriptions mentions they are compatible with Wii U, but this doesnt mean they are compatible with the Wii part of the Wii U (in fact, can the "emulated Wii" connect to the USB ports at all? ) Further concern: there are only 3 USB ports on the Wii U. Also, the fact that these adapters, as well as the other ones metionned above cost nearly as mush as the Classic Controllers (around 17$) makes me wonder if they're really worth it.

3. Wait for the WiiShop titles to be ported the the eShop and rebuy them at the discounted price. Some of them already are, and it would give me the opportunity to use only the Wii U Pro controllers. However, they come out at a rather slow rate, and so far not a single N64 title. In fact, is there any guarantee from Nintendo that they will port all the Wii Shop VC titles to the eShop?

4. Buy 4 Classic and 3 Wii Pro controllers (we already have one). I really hope I don't have to do this. We just paid for a new console, having to buy 7 controllers is more than ridiculous and certainly not a good marketing strategy. It would have been so easy to make the Wii U Pro controllers compatible with the emulated Wii on the Wii U. The emulated Wii software was already modified from its original Wii counterpart, all that was needed was to remap the buttons to match the classic controller ones (they are exactely the same!). WHY? Has there been any announcement from Nintendo to update the Wii software to make this compatible?

What's your experience with this? Any ideas and suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Can we delete a profile in Wii U Fit and not lose the original data?

We just downloaded the new trial of the Wii Fit U and when we started playing, we accidentally transferred my daughter's saved Mii information into the Mii character we made up for our Wii U. Is it possible to delete the data in the profile that has the wrong name and still have my daughter's original saved data? She has data from like 3 years ago when we got Wii Fit Plus and that is a LOT of stuff but we don't want her name to be the family Mii, if that makes any sense....

Password reset email doesn't contain new password

Hello,

I have forgotten my Nintendo Network password.

I used the "forgot password" option, and am getting an email, but the email says:

"A temporary password has been issued for your Nintendo Network ID

<>"

and then follows with instructions on how to use or change it...

Attempting to view the email source through gmail's "garbled text" option shows this where the <> appears:

<<temporary password:="" equpyxhc="">>

I have tried using that 8-letter code (equpyxhc) as the password, but it's wrong.

Help, please?

Wii U Gamepad Won't stay connected, Drops frames left and right

When I bought the Wii U it worked flawlessly. Then that update game sometime in the spring that sped up the booting of the Wii quite a bit... since that update, I can't keep the gamepad to connected for the life of me. If I'm not playing 6 feet or under away, it disconnects. Same place on the couch I used to sit and play is now too far away. What gives? Nothing external has changed. Same stuff all around me, just that update on the Wii U has changed. What did they break?

THANKS NINTENDO YOU JUST RUINED MY TWO SONS CHRISTMAS

The only present my sons wanted for Christmas was the new Wii U and The Legend of Zelda Windwaker. That's what they got for Christmas and here we are on the secound day with nothing to show for it. I did the updates which it appeared to do just fine and then we spent a couple hours trying to get on the eshop with no luck and a couple differnt repeating errors. Can't get on it to download. Then we tried to play a new Lego Marvel superhero game and it shows the game and then tells us it can't read the disk? It is a brand new disk? We tried one of our old Wii games and it works so we spent the rest of the day trying to figure out why we couldn't get this new game to work. Now I am on my secound day of this and seeing that everyone is having this problem. The service stinks. Really you didn't plan on a rush at Christmas? I am ready to take it back and be done but they still want to try to work it out. We will see how the next couple days goes but it will be a hard sell for me to go with Nintendo again. I will be trying to call the support line to see if I can get through or taking this back to the store.
