Hey I just recently bought a black wii u pro controller when it's connected by usb it works fine pairs up and the charge light comes on, however when I disconnect the usb it doesn't respond to anything, it's like the battery isn't holding a charge no matter how long it's hooked up, is there any first time setup thing I'm forgetting or is it a defective controller?
new wii u pro controller not holding charge
slow slow ohhhh so slow
Any chance we are going to get an update that addresses the performance of the Wii U? Just navigating the menus is soooo painful, I have never seen a device or application perform so poorly in my entire IT career - and I've been programming commercially since 1987. Seriously, it's so bad I don't understand how the product managers could have signed off on it.
I've done all the updates, which took forEVer as it kept erroring out with mystical codes, but it did finally complete after multiple cycles over about 4 hours (and my internet connection is fast enough to download a full size DVD in 2 minutes.)
My old Wii was blazing fast compared to this.
So here I have a 32G unit, and apparently it does NOT cache the DVD's in system memory??? It continues to pound the **** out of the DVD drive. I can understand for piracy reasons the need to keep the DVD in the drive, but for gods sakes, cache the DVD in flash memory or connected USB HDD.
Nintendo - please fix the basic performance issues in the Wii U.
WiiU connection fails every reset.
I have a strange problem.
My WiiU loses connection to my router every time i turn it off and back on.
The only way to get the connection back is to go the router settings and change anything. The channel, password or type, anything that relates to the wireless.
Once i do this, i can test the same connection settings and it connects fine.
All my other devices have no problems with my router. The WiiU has sufficient signal and runs fine once i do this.

Invalid Format
Hi all, just given a Wii U as a gift, go to connect the thing and my Sony Bravia only shows "Invalid format" when hooked up by HDMI to the new system. Anyone know if this is fixable?

Remotes require pairing every time
Have a wii u. I turn on game pad, which turns on console. I then push a button or power on remotes and all 4 lights just keep blinking. Every time, I have to go to home menu, take out battery to stop blinking and then sync. It's a real pain, also, because I have the motion control adapter/rubber jacket which I have to unplug and swing out. Now, they are Nyko remotes, but their customer support said they use same technology, just build with different materials. Nintendo says they can't troubleshoot. There were no issues with wii, but when tried on wii u, that's when it started. I have tried deleting all pairings. Am I doing something wrong in the order I turn it on ? Shouldn't I just be able to turn on console, push a button on remote and get it going?
Wii U buzzing noise
Hi I recently bought a Wii U and I noticed that it makes a faint buzzing noise aside from the noise the disk tray emits. When I cover the backside where the fan is the faint buzzing noise goes away. Is this noise normal (an echo from the disk drive) or is there something wrong with this unit?
Rattle in new Pro Controller
I just opened a new Pro Controller. I noticed when shaking it (not even vigorously) that there's a rattle in there. It sounds and feels as though it's probably the main circuit board shaking against the little feet that would normally hold it in place (I've taken apart a few PS3 controllers, likely similar concept).
My question is, can any one else shake theirs and tell me if there's any sound? I suppose it's possible it's expected behavior for whatever reason.
Here's a close-up video of it: http://youtu.be/tozaW49V2aw

System Memory and External Hard Drive
A quick question that I've been wondering about relating to downloads/data. What happens if you have the same save data for the same game on both the system memory and the hard drive, then save over it? Will it overwrite the data for both, or only one of the two devices? And if the latter, which one? Also, if you have the same game downloaded on both the system and the hard drive, which will it run from by default? Does it even matter?
Thanks!
Sonic Lost World - Impossible to Beat Final Boss (spoilers of course)
So I just got to the final boss of Sonic Lost World tonight, and I was all ready to beat it, but unfortunately my game seems to be suffering from a rather game-breaking glitch... I'm aware that in order to defeat Eggman, you have to first do a homing attack on his leg, then do another homing attack all the way up to his cockpit where you hit him. However, after incapaciting the mech's leg, when I then do the homing attack on the arm a very strange occurence happens 95% of the time - rather than going into the sequence where I can hit each of his parts all the way to the cockpit, it will just do a freeze frame with Sonic landing on the mech's arm for a moment, then Sonic will just jump away and the fight will continue as if I had not hurt him at all. At first I thought maybe I was doing damage over time, or maybe doing something wrong, but no matter what I try it almost always happens, and the few times it does work I'm not doing anything differently. Furthermore, I wanted to work around the glitch and defeat him anyway using those rare occurences where the attack does work (I've gotten really good at the timing of the attacks through this at least!), but I've actually ran out the timer attempting to do this. I looked it up and nobody else seems to have this issue, so it must be unique to me.
I've had issues with the game in the past, like audio stuttering and one game freeze, but neither of those have happened recently. I'm playing on a downloaded copy through my Wii U's hard drive.
Save data
When you move Wii U game data to the hard drive, does it move the save data along with it? If so, can it be used on the same Wii U after a system format?
New update with support for Dolby Digital 5.1 audio
There would be some way to update the console and Nintendo had support with Dolby Digital or DTS 5.1ch??
It is something that is very necessary since all devices are supported with these licenses. What I have to do to answer me Nintendo?
Is required in games and Netflix!

Wii U lag, on-screen & off-screen play.
hi everyone,
i have a wind waker hd wii u and never noticed a lag while playing it.
i then purchased from the eshop:
1) super mario bros.
2) punch out
3) NES Remix
ALL of these 3 games have a horrible lag.
should lag exist while playing off-creen on your gamepad?
i've spent countless quarters and time on super mario bros...and have been playing it more than any other game...and this virtual console version is UNPLAYABLE.
same thing for punch out...and NES REMIX.
is this something that can be fixed with a system update?
Gamepad extremely short range
Hello,
Recently (within the last 2 weeks) I've noticed that my Gamepad has been having trouble staying connected to the console. Previously, I've been able to keep the two connected as far as about 30 feet away (even through walls). However, the connection has grown progressively worse, until as this morning my 3-year-old was not able to play without issues despite sitting directly next to the console (about 1-2 feet away).
Is anyone else experiencing this issue (or have experienced it in the past, with resolution)? I do not suspect damage to the pad as it's only lightly to moderately used. The only change within the last couple of weeks is that I've bought Super Mario 3D World and a 3rd-party dock for charging the gamepad and other controllers (I worry about the kids damaging the gamepad's power jack).
Any pointers or advice would be helpful. I'm a Software Engineer so I've already gone through a lot of troubleshooting (short of surveying the wireless signal strength and re-syncing the gamepad to the console).
Thanks in advance!
wireless or wired , same old eshop problem
Ok everyone, I was having trouble buying anything in eshop.I can connect to eshop most of the time but when I get to the credit card add funds section it errors me, Since its wifi I thought I would get a usb ethernet adapter and just hard wire it directly to the router instead of wireless,, Well I did that but still have the same trouble with eshop and everything else works fine,,..Does anyone have an answer for this? Wireless or wired it does the same this with the eshop..
Wii U Virtual Console, P1 Gamepad, P2 Wiimote?
Hello!
I recently purchased Kirby Super Star and have a question regarding controller setup.
I wish to have Player 1 use the Wii U Gamepad, and Player 2 use the Wiimote+Classic, however the option to move ports is only available on the Gamepad menu.
So far, the only way I can make Player 2 use the Wiimote is to have a third controller, a wiimote, idle as Player 1 while the Gamepad also uses Player 1.
Is there something I'm missing?
Also, is it possible to use the Wiimote + Nunchuck and remap the keys?
I know it sounds silly, but it should be possible.
I may end up purchasing a Pro controller for future titles, would using this still have the same issue?

What are the Wii U Fit Meter Sounds and what do they mean?
I have been searching around online but can not find any information about this. I have a Wii U Fit Meter and several times during the day it will play different music / tones at me while I'm wearing it but I have no idea what information the meter is trying to convey to me. Is it trying to encourage me to do more exercise activity (like saying "keep it up, you're doing good")? Telling me I've reached some goal? Telling me there is some error? Warning me to take it easy? Just reminding me it is there and to sync it with the Wii U Gamepad? I'm sure the designers / developers have some specific purpose in mind for all of this, so it is a bit weird that they would not be eager to share this information with users. Some sort of guide that would let me hear the different sounds and what they mean would be extremely useful. Does anyone have this info or a link to this info?
Thanks,
-Mike
