Wii menu used to work then the update came. Now when trying to open the Wii Menu on the main Wii U screen we get to choose either the tv or tv and gamepad display option. No matter which you choose the tv option turns the screen green and purple and says wii menu can't be opened and select try again. The tv and gamepad option does the exact same thing. Please help. After the update we can't play any wii games.

The Wii Menu could not be opened. (After 4.0 update + projector)
My Wii U and specifically the Wii menu had been working perfectly with my Optoma HD20 projector before the 4.0 software update. The first time I tried to access the Wii menu after the 4.0 update the screen had a green tent and displays the error message "The Wii Menu could not be opened.". I called Nintendo tech support and they want me to send the Wii U in, but I think this is entirely related to the Wii U 4.0 update.
Are there any others having this issue with an Optoma projector or any other display for that matter? Are there any known workarounds?
This setup worked perfectly before the 4.0 update with no changes to the setup besides the new Wii U software. I have included a picture (horrible quality, but those are the colors that I see once the projector refreshes after starting the Wii menu....or attempting to start the Wii menu). This happens regardless of selecting the TV Only or TV+Gamepad with the Wii remote.
I have tried pressing the "Try Again" button many times on both the Wii remote and Wii U gamepad. I also tried lowering the resolution to 480p in the Wii U settings and it has the same error message, but it has the correct colors.
I can't be the only person having this problem! Is there a way to revert to a previous version of the Wii U software?

Conversation dialogue in AC4:BF cutscenes
Hey, I'm playing Black Flag, and I've played with the settings, I can't get the Wii U output to my TV to play the dialogue. I get music and SFX in cutscenes, but not the dialogue. I have to swap it down to my GamePad and turn the speakers on to hear what they're saying. If I don't it's like a silent movie, the subtitles show up and the SFX and music show up on my TV, but I can't get any of the dialogue on my TV. Is there something I need to play with in the settings that I missed? I was having the same problem when I played Darksiders 2.

System Memory and External Hard Drive
A quick question that I've been wondering about relating to downloads/data. What happens if you have the same save data for the same game on both the system memory and the hard drive, then save over it? Will it overwrite the data for both, or only one of the two devices? And if the latter, which one? Also, if you have the same game downloaded on both the system and the hard drive, which will it run from by default? Does it even matter?

Error Code 150-1031 (Ubisoft games, apparently.)
I just got Rayman Legends for the Wii U today. (1/15/14). And when I first put it in, it gave me the error code that I posted above. And it said I should clean the disc. Its a brand new disc so obviously its not dirty or damaged. I did a little research and suposebly it only appears with Ubisoft games. But the funny thing is, If I keep trying over and over, it will work. Idk if later on in the game will it pop up again but so far it only comes up as soon as I put it in. After a few trys it works.
This is irritating me cause my plan was that if I dont have a PS4 by the time Watch Dogs comes out, then I would get it on the Wii U. Watch Dogs is made by Ubisoft .. so if this is happenin with only Ubisoft games, then I would just hold off on it.
I purchaced Assassins Creed IV Black Flag, but on the eShop so thank god I did that. I probably would have gotten this error wit that game too.
Has anyone heard back from Nintendo on this yet? I wont even bother calling cause theyll jus say that they "dont know" or "havent heard of" this error before and just tell me to call Ubisoft and theyll say the same thing.

Back up save data on wiiu?
I download and save all my wii u games onto an external hard drive for my wiiu. Am I able to back up save data onto the system itself somehow?

Can view browser, unable to get on eshop or miiverse.
I'm having a weird problem. I can get on the internet browser, but not the eshop or miiverse. I've been on the eshop a lot before, but that was a few months ago when I had my old router. I keep testing my connection, but I'm still not able to get on the eshop or miiverse. I get different error codes. I tried six consecutive times and nothing. I got error codes 105-4325, 111-9000 (twice,) 105-4011, and 111-9001 (twice.) If I remember correctly, the 105 codes are for router issues, and the 111 codes are for unexpected errors.
I did move the system closer to the router, but since the system and my router are on separate ends of the house, it's hard to say that helps that much. I heard something about changing the channel on my router, so i tried that, but it didn't work. It seems like I have tried everything, from unplugging my router and wii u and starting fresh, but nothing seems to work.

Wii U Gamepad touch screen makes popping noises
Recently my Wii U's gamepad pops whenever I touch it with my finger. It started when I waa sitting on the floor with the gamepad on both of my hands and I accidentaly let my right hand. It hit the floor with the right side. I was playing wind waker so I noticed it when I was moving items. It's driving me crazy!!! It'a got worse now it sounds louder and really bothers me. It works perfectly but I'm OCD with my console. Any ideas abojt what's this or any solutions besides sending it to Nintendo?

Batman Arkham Origins.
Hi folks, I have a problem with my Batman game, I'm playing only on my gamepad, after playing a while, about 3 hours, it starts to lock the game and suddenly the picture freezes after half an hour, while trying turning off the console, I can not and I have to disconnect from power, not if my Wii U have a problem or if the disc, can you help me with my problem?

Saved game data on SD card unreadable
Help! My son was transferring our saved game data from the Wii onto a SD card to move it to the Wii U. He used the Data Management\Save data function. Now neither the wii nor the wiiU can read the saved data files. They can both read the SDcard but no readable wii files appear.
I can see the data is on the SD card when I put it into my computer.
I was on the phone for over an hour with Nintendo tech support with the end result of them saying, if the systems can't see the files, then the data is gone.
My boys will be devasted and I am dreading telling them all their game data has been lost. Has anyone had this happen to them? Any ideas?

3DS to WiiU NNID shenanigans, internet trouble
I set up my NNID on my 3DS when Miiverse was brought to that, then I got a Wii U. I'm still at the point of setting up the Wii U where I can choose between creating a new NNID for the Wii U or using an existing one. Of course I'd choose the latter, but... when I enter all the info, it says it can't connect to the internet, likely because the automatic password is incorrect (it is). It says I can go to the internet settings on the Wii U to fiddle with that, but I can't go the menu yet because I'm still setting up. It takes me to the two choices after that. Do I just choose the first option that's explicitly recommended for new users and hope it'll work out, or is there a way to remedy this?
As for why it can't connect to the internet when that step came before NNID: our internet router is password protected, one of those complicated passwords. I tried it from memory first, thinking I'd go fetch it later if I don't remember it. My input turned out to be wrong, but I couldn't find anywhere where I could try a second time after. Pressing back actually took me to the next step; I guess it assumed I was okay with the connection. I know it's a silly reason for all this, and I'd hate to have it lead to having two seperate accounts for something so simple.

WiiU Fit Meter refuses to connect
I paired it to begin with and then couldn't get it to download data after 20 or so tries. Then one morning it did download and then a few days latrer it did again (after failing on the previous days)
Now it refuses to connect no matter how many times I ry, I simply get ".....lost connection...".
I have the downloaded version of WiiU Fit and I don't want to lose my fitness data if I can help it.
Any advice?

Wii U Gamepad Screen Greenish
I just got a brand new Wii U from BEST BUY and in the setup, the icons and white background were all green and red. I thought this was a Christmas thing, but when I got to the Wii U home menu, everything had a green hue. When I played New Super Mario Bros U, everything looked darker and slimy, can you help?

Pro Controller problem
My pro controller functions just fine with another the game Lego Marvel Heroes on the Wii U, however, when playing Mario 3D, the pro controller player remains in the cowering position (head ducked low and shaking). I am unsure of how to reset this, or is this a problem with the controller itself? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I recenlty purchased a Wii u from a Neighboor. He told me had purchase a few games of the Wii u store Earthbound , Mega Man 1,2,3 , Yoshi and few others. Whem I got home click on them to play them . I get this message This software cannot be used Nintendo Network ID used topurchase the software has been deleted. Now I was told download games are tied onto the Wii u . So can anyone help me here since I'm new to the Wii u.
