The screw cover stickers on my black Wii U gamepad are starting to show signs of falling off do to the natural wear of handling the controller (especially around the curved handle grips near the ZL and ZR buttons). I was wondering if its possible to get replacement screw cover stickers in the event that the originals do eventually fall off and/or get lost? I was looking around in the online Nintendo store, but don't see them being offered with the other replacement parts. If they aren't available now for purchase it might be an item you will want to include for purchase eventually on the online Nintendo store because I doubt I'm the only one who has had this issue and I know that other companies do allow you to make similar replacement screw cover sticker purchases for things like laptops.
Ok so I been using Nintendo TVii lately, but ever since last week, when I go to the application and chose something to watch like Family Guy. It doesn't show that is available in Netflix. It just says no episodes available. It also happens with every other TV show that's available on Netflix. It's really annoying, and yes I selected Netflix in my streaming option. Does anyone has the same problem? If so have you fix it yet? And if you did, how specifically?
I have two pro controllers, both of which do not rumble in HW. The rumble is on in my other controller settings menu and in the game menu.
The gamepad rumbles as well. My controllers both rumble in windwaker, and when syncing so I don't think it'd a controller issue...anyone else experiencing this?
I am trying to do the first time setup for my Wii U that came in today (10/08/2014) but I am encountering a problem. I'm not sure if it is the gamepad or the system itself but one of them is freezing in the middle of the setup causing the gamepad to produce a high-pitch sound and for the system to turn off I am required to unplug it. The farthest I have gotten to of the setup is the today's date. It would be much appreciated if I am to receive help
Hi guys,
Yesterday I opened up my Wii U console power, and it apeared that my gamepad need to be updated.
But everytime I start the update, it stops at 80% and give me an error code: 165-9903.
I've also tried if I start my Wii U without gamepad, it just works.
Seems the problem occured from gamepad, please help me with this issue!!
Thank you guys!!
I just bought a Wii U for my daughter and I have noticed that the bottom of the tv screen randomly pops up pictures of our miis. The game screen will change aspect slightly when this happens as well. Happens most at the character select screen, but also happens occasionally during races. I cant seem to replicate when i want to. Was hoping to find out if there was something that was being done to cause the pop up and if anyone knows whats going on.
Hello,
Just wondering if the Wii Lan Adapter works with the Wii U? Also I have a DSL connection, will that be an issue?
Long story short, I got the "official" lan adapter for the Wii/Wii U to make things easier and at the very least have an stable internet connection.
The problem being that my connection doesn't work properly and as I try to download a game from the e-shop (DK Tropical Freeze) I keep getting the error 108-0075, this error code appears when the Wii U console is unable to connect to the server during the system update download.
Are the servers of Nintendo getting an overload? or my 200mbps are too slow to handle the download?
I'm getting a bit frustrated with this, is been two days since I got this game from the e-shop.
Also I should point that this doesn't happen with my other consoles.
Please help this poor soul in despair.
Hello,
I have a Wii U with an external HDD connected, with it's own power supply, and with a Y-cable usb attached. I've had this set-up since Wii U launch and have had no problems downloading games to it, transferring data, playing games, etc.
Today, I downloaded the Bayonetta 2 demo directly to my external (as this is where all my downloads go), walked away to make dinner, came back and saw an error saying that the external HDD lost power. I did a hard reset of my console, waited a bit, turned it back on and went to the download management. Bayonetta 2 demo had an error on it, suggesting I delete the corrupted file and redownload. I clicked delete, and about 30 seconds later, both screens went black. 10 seconds later the same error came up saying my external HDD lost power. In both instances, the external was still visibly running.
Did another hard reset, waited a couple minutes, turned the console back on and all it did was load the Wii U logo, nothing further (start-up sounds continued to loop). This is all that my Wii U does upon booting up with the external connected.
I have since removed the external HDD (with the console power off) and booted my console up without any issues. I went to the download management and "deleted" the corrupted Bayonetta 2 demo (though that file should still be on my external), and redownloaded the file just fine to my internal HDD. However, when I try to boot my console up with the external HDD connected, I get the same stagnant Wii U logo.
It's as if the Bayonetta 2 demo corrupted my external HDD.
What can I do?
(Sorry for the novel, just trying to be thorough with information)
Okay... So, I bought a Wii U a few months ago and then had to return it as an emergency came up requiring the extra funds (Sad I know right?) So I returned the Wii U to the store and just decided to purchase it later once everything had setled down in life. That time has come and now I am trying to register ym Nintendo network ID to the new Wii U. It will not let me do that due to it being linked to the original Wii U. If I create a new one is there a way to link my club nintendo account to the eShop to still receive the coins for purchases? I don't mind creating a new one, my main issue here is starting on a new club nintendo account and not recieving credit to my old one, the one with my whole game collection on it, and none of the coins spent (yet). Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated since I basically cant use any online apps on the system until I connect a NNID... Help?
I'm having really difficult problems trying to update my Wii U. Everytime I go to the Update option, when the process starts a message saying "Unable to update, try again later" appears with the error code 105-3610. I tried to find some information with this code, but the code doesn't even exists in the support.nintendo.com web site. Anyone knows what's going on? I've tried with more than only one wireless connection and the problem persists.
So recently, my Gamepad's touch screen stopped working. It's not cracked, it didn't fall or anything, the screen is perfectly fine, but the gamepad no longer reads input on the touch screen.
The controls on the gamepad still work, except for on the main menu for selecting what software I want to use (the controls still work on the screen with all of the miis on the main menu).
Going further, I found that the touch screen is responsive when I use an ingame manual, however it still doesn't work right. When I try to scroll down using the gamepad's touch screen (which I'm assuming regular controls don't work on, because my pro controller doesn't work there) I can slide the menu down a little bit. However, once I scroll it down it immediately goes back to the top. I can't click on any of the options here either.
Anyone had any similar issues, or at least know if there's anything I can do?
I'm trying to keep the kids from messing with each others files. I figured a seperate mii thing might work apparently not though. Is there any kind of option to keeping things separate?
what is this? nintendo stated no such error code it keep saying unable to find a wi fi network but this the same network i been using and the router is in the same room as the wiiu console.
nevermind, i restarted the wiiu and it connects ... not sure why it did that... must be a bug because when i exit out the browser on the wiiu gamepad because it the pages loading slow on the browser....and when i went back to the internet browser it says not connected, so i went to find the same wifi connection highlighted but still shows no connection and when i test it out i keep getting the error.. it's fine now since i can connect to the internet after restarting the wiiu console.
My problem didn't start until Nintendo Released the 5.0.0U Update for the quick start menu, and ever since then when I press the power button to turn on my wii u console the light turns blue but it seem like the system doesn't come all the way on for some reason. Sometimes the gamepad comes on and sometimes it doesn't but when it act's like that the tv never get's any signal from the wii u console and the gamepad doesn't connect to the Wii U console. And I am forced to hold the power button on the console until it turns off. And then after the forced shutdown my wii u console will work right for the rest of the until I leave it off over night and then I have to do the samething again the next day to even play my Wii U console. And yes it is up to date before anyone even ask's.
Here is a couple of video's of what my wii u does:
Here is what happen today when I tryed to start it up for the first time today.
Okay so I have a Samsung TV and I set up the remote, so when I press the "TV" button on the gamepad, everything works fine. But when I use the TVii app, only the channel up/down and volume up/down seem to work, nothing else does. Am i missing something here? I really dont want to have to go through all the options for my tv in settings and have to switch back and forth from that to TVii. Does anyone know what the heck is going on??
Got everything set up and hooked up to my TV then pull the gamepad out of the box and hooked it up to the charger like the instructions say. Orange light comes on for about a minute and a half then goes out. Try it again, same thing. I leave it plugged in anyways after that and give it a few hours to see if it'll charge anyways while I go do other stuff.
I come back and try unplugging and replugging the charger. Same thing as before happens, orange light comes on for a bit then goes out.
I try hitting the power button and it plays a jingly sound as a blue light comes on for about a second then the light fades out. The screen doesn't turn on, light up, or show any sign of life.
I figure it's a forgone conclusion but I'm asking anyways.
Defective?
Hello,
I am interested in buying a new Wii U. I am living in the US right now, but in about 2 years I have to go to Europe for several years.
Before I choose to buy the Wii U or not, I need to know if it is capable to run without problems in the different countries.
- Can it handle 110V - 220V?
- Can I buy games in other countries and play it on the USA Wii U?
- No problems with 60Hz - 50Hz?
Unfortuntaly I can`t find anything detailed about these specifications the Wii U might support!
