Wii U freezing when returning to Home Menu
Recently I've noticed that my Wii U will usually freeze when going to the home menu. I heard that USB external storage devices may cause these problems and I did get one recently. Is there a way to fix this? I checked on Nintendo's support page to make sure the one I got is compatible with my Wii U. I have a 2TB Toshiba Canvio Hard Drive by the way. Part Number: HDWC120XK3J1

Error 107-6838 Eshop
I have problems with my eShop Card, every time I enter the code I get the error 107-6838. anyone know how to solve this problem
Weird pixellezation on TV
So this has been happening ever since I updated my system to 5.1.0. This is kind of difficult to describe...there's a problem with the TV display. It's slightly pixellated, so it doesn't display it's full resolution. This happens no matter what resolution I choose in the System Settings. My TV is a Sony Bravia KDL-32EX500 which I bought in spring 2010. It has no issues of its own, as far as I know. I tried a different system, and the resolution is fine. I tried a different HDMI cable with my Wii U, and the problem is still there. The TV's HUD and UI display in its normal resolution. I doubt it's a problem with the TV itself. But this seems to be a rare issue, if I'm not the only one that has it. Usually, it's not too noticeable, but it's annoying when it is noticeable, and thar I know it's there. It's impossible to see when playing GBA, SNES and NES VC games, obviously, but visible otherwise. At the very most, it is nothing but a minor annoyance and inconvenience, and does not affect my ability to play games. I just wish to play Wii U games in the best visual experience possible.
Anywho, I'll get on with the pictures. I apologize- I understand it's a little hard to tell even with a decent camera, but you should be able to see that the on-screen display doesn't match up with the individual pixels, and it has a weird, blurry pixellation effect.
I really hope this is something that can be fixed, and thank you for your help. I apologize for the size of the images.
Error Code 107-6838
I have a prepaid card that I'm trying to redeem on my WiiU. I enter the code on the "Add prepaid funds" screen on the e-shop. I enter the code and it pops up with the correct amount for the card I bought. I hit the "Add" button to add the funds to my account and it thinks for a second and then gives me the error code 107-6838. The support website could not find that error code. Google returns next to nothing when I search that error code. Help?
WiiU Error code: 150-1031?
I have three WiiU games and so far out of the three I have, only two of them work. The game I can't get to work is Sonic and Sega All-stars Racing: Transformed. I had one copy of the game disc that would just freeze at the title screen and I went back and exchanged it for another one and now when the game is loading the levels I get at least two to three error codes of: 150-1031 saying the disc is dirty and should be cleaned but the disc itself is spotless. I tried doing a search on Nintendo's website here for the error code but it is not found. Is this the WiiU's issue or the games? Do I have to go back and exchange it for a third copy???
Question about transferring Miis
Can I move Miis that I have transerfered from my Wii to a WiiU back to the original source Wii? I basically need to move the Miis back to the source Wii for the people I live with that still use the Wii to play Wii sports. They want their Miis, and the WiiU is in a different room, and the transfer gaffed all the Miis. I don't see a way to put Miis on the Wii controlle rin the WiiU's Wii menu, or any other way to move them back to the source Wii. I really hope there is a way to move them back to the Wii ithout hacking the system somehow, cause otherwise that is a hige dissappointment on Nintendo's end. Furthurmore, it is telling me I cannot edit any of the 40+ Miis I transfered from my Wii cause I 'did not create them'. what gives?
I can't delete my saved data please help
I am trying to delete my saved data for Netflix and it works until I open Netflix after and sign in. When I do that, the saved data comes back. I even tried deleteing and redownloading Netflix but that doesn't work.
Wii Fit U--No calories upon syncing Fit Meter?
I've first noticed this problem about a week ago, ever since I changed the battery in my Fit Meter and after changing for Daylight Savings Time (not sure if either one of these are contributing to the problem, I'm just mentioning them as the only things I'm aware of that have changed), where the Wii Fit won't properly show the calories burned or progress on the walking/running challenge after syncing with the Fit Meter.
Note, also, that my parents have Fit Meters that they sync with the same Wii system--neither of them are having the problem I'm having, but to refer again to potential contributing factors, neither of them have had to replace their batteries just yet.
Here's exactly what happens: I walk about, either just the same day a few hours prior to syncing or for several days running (recall the Fit Meter is supposed to retain step count for about a month, so a few days is easily within the device's memory).
My activity level is the same now as it was more than a week ago, back when everything appeared to still sync properly.
According to the Fit Meter itself, I have walked those steps, burned those calories, etc. But when I sync it with the Wii Fit, it reports 0 total calories burned (e.g. nothing burned since the last time I synced it, whether that was an hour ago or three days ago), and no steps whatsoever on the walking challenge. Whether these are two separate problems or the walking challenge problem is a symptom of the calories problem or vice versa, I don't know; I just know both things are happening... or rather, not happening even though they should be.
What it does show, on the next "calorie" screen, is however many calories I might've burned since midnight (which is ironic since today's calories are part of the apparently nonexistant total, and especially ironic if the last sync was earlier the same day--in both cases, those calories get added to today's total without being added to the "since last sync" total), and it reports some progress, if any, in the altitude challenges, even if that progress is only 3 feet.
I took video of a recent session in which this happened, and I plan on taking another video sometime this evening after all my classes are done, to see if it's doing it again; I'll upload that to YouTube later and provide a link in here if need be.
Wii U Turtle Beach N11 Headphones Broken- no sound
This is kind of odd, but my cheap $20 Turtle Beach N11 Wii U right headphone has no sound. The odd thing is that they work at low volume. I've already tried unscrewing the right headphone and checking for a broken broken wire, but the connection is fine. There may be a loose connection in the place where you change the volume. Please help! Thanks!
I lost my Wii Fit meter. The one that I just bought looks differently than the previous one. Should I be concerned?
I lost my Wii Fit meter and wondered if the one I just bought is the same with different coloring or is it really different. Is it a problem? I don't want to unpackage it if I need to return it. My previous model was white with gray back and lime green detail on the front. The replacement is black with a gray back and silver detail on the front. Are they the same? Which is the newer version?
Wii U Didn't Start But the Blue Light Came On?
Yesterday when I turned my Wii U on the blue light came on, but didn't connect to the TV or the gamepad. I didn't even hear my game disc running. So I unplugged it and plugged it back in and then turned it on again. It booted up and everything seem fine. Since then I have turned it on 3 times. It seems fine, but I'm worried. Does anyone know what happened?
7 Wii remotes?
On the Smash Bros Websites it says 7 Wii remotes can be used along with the Wii remote attachments, I was trying to connect more than 4 controllers, but after 4 they don't connect anymore. Will this be something that only works while playing Smash Bros or will there be an update to allow 7 Wii remotes to connect or something?
Surround Sound Issue
This is a rather odd issue that I can't seem to determine an exact cause for. I have working pcm5.1 coming from the Wii U and it sounds great in Monster Hunter, but onto the issue...
Any time I shut the console off and turn it back on after an hour or so, the sound will be stuck in stereo and will refuse to output in surround even when changing sound output settings back and forth.
I have found the only way to fix this problem is to switch video outputs from HDMI to non-HDMI and change it back again afterward, I guess to "refresh" it. After this I can finally set sound output back to surround to get 5.1 again (until the console is powered off for an extended period of time once more).
Oddly if I turn the console off and back on shortly after, this issue does not exist. It only seems to happen after the console has been off for a while. Anybody know what might be causing this and how to avoid this unnecessary hassle? I have multiple devices hooked up to an HDMI switch, however they functional correctly without having to jump through these extra hurdles.
Here is my setup:

Super Smash Bros soundtrack offer and mewtwo for a club Nintendo family account
Hey I have super smash bros 3ds registered, but my dad might register the Wii u version on his part of the account. Would that count for all of us getting mewtwo or does it have to be registered on the same username. And for the soundtrack as well.
So something went wrong with the Wii half of my Wii U system and I'm not sure what to do...
So after updating the Wii U with that quick start update, I went into the Wii side to play some games but for some reason everything is colored weird. When I'm on the Wii U side of the system everything seems to be working just fine, however when I switch over to the Wii side my tv screen colors everything in purples and greens, my gamepad seems to be just fine when I have it on when playing on the Wii side and so I have no idea how to fix this or if this was caused by the recent update or if this problem was just an unfortunate and unrelated problem that happened right after the update. If anyone could help me in some way that would be great.
Post-update MK8
I can "Press A" on the title screen, but cannot select a mode from Single/Multiplayer/Online/etc.
Tried with two different Wiimotes and the WiiU Pro Controller.
Anyone else confirm?
Nintendo kept my game when my Wii U was repaired
Ok, so I want to start out by saying I've always liked Nintendo, and I have found their customer service to be exceptional. I've always been polite to them and they have been polite with me. In fact, when my Wii U gamepad stopped working they fixed it for $60 plus shipping. All was good...until I realized when I shipped it the Wii U had Mario Kart 8 left in the console. So I called Nintendo the day I shipped it and they said no problem, we will make sure you get it back. When I saw it arrived at Nintendo, I called again, and again I got the response not to worry about it, my game would be returned. So I called several times after that since my repair was taking a long time (4 weeks). I always got the same response, not to worry about it.
So this takes me to when I finally got back my system...with no game. I called customer support, and they said a manager would get back to me shortly. That was Wednesday of last week, and I finally recieved a call a few minutes ago. Basically, they said they would need to get in touch with their back office and would get in touch with me within 4 business days. I am ready to pull my hair out. They have me over a barrell and are taking advantage. I have no way to PROVE that game was in the console and now they are all just passing the problem along. The only shred of evidence I have is that I prepaid for all the DLC coming out in the next few months. Plus I have the box and reciept, but again that does me no real good. I've always supported you Nintendo, and I've spent thousands of dollars over the years on your console and games, starting with the NES. You are on your way to losing a loyal customer by not dealing with my issue
