Ever since I installed the quickstart update, my Wii U will not startup correctly if its been more than a few hours since I last turned it on. It will turn on, never send signal to the TV, and the gamepad will say that it cannot connect to the Wii U. I then hold the power button for 4 seconds, turn the Wii U on again, and everything works fine. Has anyone experienced this issue who has a fix for it? I've just dealt with it up until now, but it is getting really annoying.

Wii U Repair Help
I just got my papers from Nintendo a few days ago to send in my wii u for repair but it doesn't tell me how to package it up on the paper it has this
If your repair is for a wii console, wrap your system in clear kitchen plastic wrap to help protect it from scratches.
But it doesn't say anything about how to wrap a Wii u console and the gamepad up to send it in for repairs what should I do?
Sound not directing to TV speakers when Gamepad muted
I have turned my gamepad sound all the way down (all the way in the minus direction) so that I cannot hear anything from the speakers. Unfortunately even doing this does not redirect sounds to the tv speakers. For example, speech and combat sounds in Bayonetta, and voice in Hyrule Warriors. I haven't found any setting to disable the gamepad speakers entirely so is there something I can do or is my gamepad faulty?
Before I send my Wii U in for repair... any suggestions?
Does anyone have any suggestions for backing up my stuff? Games, posts, Wii, profiles... I'm freaking out that 2 years worth of stuff is going to go missing.
For some reason, my console freezes shortly after booting up, no matter what game or task I perform. Thinking I need to send it in, but I'm not confident that I will get back the same console.
Thanks and peace
Why is the Wii U browser not letting me use flash anymore? (Error code: 112-2003)
I used to watch movies on a website about a month ago, but not anymore since Nintendo updated the browser a couple days ago. Then I get an error number each time I try to watch a movie on the same website as I did before.
Question about NFC functions?
Hi,
I have a silicone case on my GamePad that covers the NFC area on the GamePad, however on the case there is a similar shaped marking on the case in about the same spot where it actually is on the GamePad. Will the amiibo scan through the case, or will I need to buy a new case that only covers the bottom of the GamePad? Please reply back as soon as possible, if you need pictures of the case or more information I can provide that as well.
Why is there no twitch app or recording feature?
I would love to inquire and start to ask why is there no actually Streaming or broadcasting with Nintendo via the Wii U to Twitch or YouTube? With SMASH coming out soon many people will want to share the fun. I know many have invested into 3rd party device to record and stream, but I ask why is that not a built in feature already? I do not want to pay the 150 something price for these recording devices when it could be in the system. We could even have streaming through the Miiverse so others can come in and watch matches or game play. this is something I know people would love and it would possibly help out the Smash community in the long run. I would love to stream a Smash party without having to useall the extra computers and etc. when it could be done via the Wii U.
Completely new to Wii U and Nintendo, got a couple questions.
Hi all,
My apologies for the incompentence, I tried googling my questions, and I only got partial answers. This is my scenario:
I wanted to get a family friendly game console, and I figured Wii or the Wii U would be a good selection, because I plan to set this up in my car with TV screens. Here are my questions:
1. I want to be able to have a console where games are stored locally without having to switch discs. I know that there's the virtual console for classic games, which is great! But what about newer games? Such as the newest mario kart and the upcoming fighting game (can't remember the name). I want them to select some of the pre-loaded games on the Wii for easier access to what they want.
2. The Wii U gamepad has a screen on it, and I was wondering if this can be used as a 2nd/3rd player video monitor? I read somewhere that the Mario Kart for U will mimic the tv, but I'm affraid that it will show the split screen instead of the individual player's personal view. Is this possible? Cause if someone is in the front seat, I would like them to participate in the games too, without me having to hook up the touch screen as a video source.
Much appreciated!
Nintendo Network ID question.
When I use a user besides the main one and link that user up with a Nintendo Network ID, will it be the primary ID for the Wii U if no other user linked up an ID or just the user?
(Sent from a non-linked Wii U. This browser is AWESOME!)
32Gb system and only 12Gb available?
I have nothing that im aware of on my Wii U besides 235Mb of Mario Kart 8 save data. Just bought Smash Bros off of the e-shop thinking i would have enough space... Turns out i only have 12Gb of usable storage. That seems really low and puts me in a bad situation with getting Smash Bros on my system. Everything I come across says that I should have about 25Gb after system stuff in usable storage, yet I have 12Gb. Any help would be appreciated.
After recent system update, system plays all Wii U games except Mario Kart 8. Possible fix?
I tried every game in my Wii U library. Between several first party and third party games, all of them worked except Mario Kart 8. The disc is in perfect condition. I even ran my Wii U Cleaning Kit 3 or 4 times for good measure. The console tries to run the disc 3 or 4 times before giving up. Then it tells me that it's an "Invald Disc", rather than it being unable to read it for X amount of other reasons.
The DLC comes out soon and I purchased it the day it was made available. I was really looking forward to it. Does anyone know what to do?
Tomorrow I'll be running a test with a friend's Wii U. I will try his Mario Kart 8 disc in my console, and he will try my Mario Kart 8 disc in his Wii U to see which is the culprit.
Wii U won't read games
I have a consistent problem. If a game even has the tiniest of scratch on it, my WiiU won't read it. I have had to replace MANY MANY games and it is getting ridiculous. The games look fine unless you look very closely. I have never had this issue on my XBox or PS3. Is there an issue with the console itself that might be causing this problem?
Gamepad Touch Screen Unresponsive
Hi, this just happened randomly as I was using my game to surh the internet tonight.
Nothing happens when I touch the touch screen. I tried restarting the Wii U Console, I tried resetting the console (10 seconds unplugged) I even tried to resynch the Gamepad (couldn't do it because I couldn't touch any of the symbols with the touchscreen).
I can't navigate the Wii U Menu with the gamepad in any way. (I can navigate with a Wii Remote)
The control sticks are unresponsive when I'm in the Wii U Menu. In the Wii U Menu the only buttons that work are the X button (switch to WaraWara Plaza), the TV Button (but, I can't use the controls for the TV), and the Home Button (but I have to Wii Remote on the TV to do anything else).
When in WaraWara Plaza, I can use all the physical controls with no problems, but touch screen doesn't work.
The Video Screen works perfectly, but Touch does not.
When I look at the turned off Gamepad screen at certain angles I notice that there is a small distortion in the reflection on the bottom edge of the screen.
See inside the circle in the included photograph.
I'm really bummed, I was hoping to Play Windwaker HD but it doesn't seem like I will be able to.
Error Code 107-7512
This weekend a friend had gotten me a Visa Gift Card, and I had tried to purchase the Mario Kart 8 DLC pack with it. When I tried to pay with it, though, I got the above error with a message telling me the card couldn't be used. Entering the code on the Support Lookup yielded no result, and so I had decided to check on the card's balance. The card says that the purchase was pending, and the amount I'm supposed to pay is no longer available in the card itself.
I had decided to wait and see if the payment would go through or if the amount due was returned, but as of today with the DLC released, neither has happened. Is there any sort of solution to this issue?
Wii U update 5.3.0U problems
I turned on my Wii U today to get the Mario Kart 8 DLC I had preordered and noticed I was unable to sign into my NNIS. I got several error codes.
The two I noticed the most were 102-2106 whenever I tried to sign in and 105-4206 when I tried to redownload the system update. I saw another error or two though. It was rarely consistent. Then I noticed in the Download Management, there was a message saying that a system update had an error. It claims I'm connected to the internet but displayed the error 105-4206. However, when I looked in the settings, I already had update 5.3.0U installed on my system. I could even access the Amiibo menu in the settings. For some reason though, my system continues to try to connect to download it again and fails. This is preventing me from connecting my system online.
My 3DS connects to Nintendo Network just fine and I can access Miiverse on every pc and smartphone I can try through the same Wi-Fi.
I've manually entered the connection information several times and even manually set static IP and Open DNS settings. I still get the exact same problems regardless.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm not aware of any way to delete the system software and force it to re-update.
Error code 105-3102
Today, I started recieving this error code any time I attempt to access any online component. The discription is simply "An error has occured. Please try again later. If the problem persists, please make note of the error code and visit support.nintendo.com". Looking up the error code simply says to call Nintendo (which I will do tomorrow). I have tried using a wired and wireless connection, as well as port forwarding and various other potential fixes. The only thing I can think of to try is formatting my Wii U, but I really don't want to lose all of my data.
Is this something Nintendo can repair? I'm really upset since the new MK8 DLC came out today and I can't play it, not to metion Smash next week.
Error code: 102-2815 eshop
I have had problems the last few days to enter the eshop, when I walk I get this error code: 102-2815 and says that services can not be used, but if I enter Miiverse and even play online, what happens?
the error code is not in the nintendo support site
Help me!!
Mario Kart 8 Error Code 104-1852
Can anyone explain to me what this error code is and an estimated time when this will be fixed, it seems I cannot upload any of my Highlights.
Nintendo kept my game when my Wii U was repaired
Ok, so I want to start out by saying I've always liked Nintendo, and I have found their customer service to be exceptional. I've always been polite to them and they have been polite with me. In fact, when my Wii U gamepad stopped working they fixed it for $60 plus shipping. All was good...until I realized when I shipped it the Wii U had Mario Kart 8 left in the console. So I called Nintendo the day I shipped it and they said no problem, we will make sure you get it back. When I saw it arrived at Nintendo, I called again, and again I got the response not to worry about it, my game would be returned. So I called several times after that since my repair was taking a long time (4 weeks). I always got the same response, not to worry about it.
So this takes me to when I finally got back my system...with no game. I called customer support, and they said a manager would get back to me shortly. That was Wednesday of last week, and I finally recieved a call a few minutes ago. Basically, they said they would need to get in touch with their back office and would get in touch with me within 4 business days. I am ready to pull my hair out. They have me over a barrell and are taking advantage. I have no way to PROVE that game was in the console and now they are all just passing the problem along. The only shred of evidence I have is that I prepaid for all the DLC coming out in the next few months. Plus I have the box and reciept, but again that does me no real good. I've always supported you Nintendo, and I've spent thousands of dollars over the years on your console and games, starting with the NES. You are on your way to losing a loyal customer by not dealing with my issue
left control stick moves left automatically sometimes
as the title says. i tried recalibrating it but it starts again shortly after
it woks fine but when it's released it does it. maybe it's dirt. any idea on this?
