Wii U Pro Controller Lag
Hi. I've noticed recently that my Wii U Pro controller has started to lag to the point where the game I'm playing is unplayable. The lag is heightened when my WiFi bandwidth is being used (ex. when I'm downloading or streaming). From what I've experienced the input lag on the controller is directly correlated to how much bandwidth is being used on my wireless network. How can this be fixed? It hasn't always been this way. I've tried resyncing and that hasn't helped.
gamepad connectivity issues
i am having sudden range issues with my wii u. i have to be within 5 feet of the console with no obstructions for the gamepad to connect. if i so much as put my hand between the gamepad and the console it will disconnect. i have tried moving my cable internet gateway to a different location and also to a differnt channel, to no avail. i have powercycled the wii u, removed and replaced the gamepad battery. i factory reset my wii u as well still no luck
i once was able to have my game pad 100 feet plus away through three walls no problems... there is a definate issue with either my wii u or its gamepad. i am under warranty and i would like my system or gamepad repaired or replaced.
any help is appreciated.
How to set up a Wii U repair?
Hi there, I've been through customer support twice over the phone, and they said I would need to call a reference number in to get it repaired, when I do that. Do I have to physically call that number and give them my info? Or how does this all work? I would like to set up a repair for my console, also as for my Gamepad my buttons are getting loose. How can I get a repair for my Gamepad as well? Thanks! Also is there a way to set up a repair online or do I have to call that reference number? And if so will they be nice? Just wondering, thank you. I don't know how that works. Help would be appreciated!
Wii U A, B, analog sticks and touch screen not functioning on Wii U home menu
Hey yall.
This just happened but on the wii u home menu (with the game icons) my gamepad wont register a reticle so i can select anying (nor will the touchscreen work). the X and shoulder buttons work fine (as does the gamepad in any games I'm able to access by using a wiimote). I can switch to the miiplaza and the analog sticks work fine there. I'm not sure if this is a problem with the gamepad itself or the wii u system. I called nintendo and they said they've never heard of this problem but will look into it.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!!
Miiverse Problem
Okay so I was in the Youtube Community and clicked on post button on accident, the post contained nothing at all. It was a blank post. But some how the post violated the Miiverse code of conduct. The administrator said "Your post contained subject matter not related to communities or games..." Is this glitch or did I actually violate anything? Thanks.
Help with HDMI
I'm shopping for an HDMI splitter and I want to know what do I need to know. Amazon has them with descriptions like:
- Support video amplify the signal bandwidth of up to: 10.2Gbps;
- Support the ends of each 10 m long-distance transmission;
- supporting up to v1.4 and 4k
- HDCP 1.4 protocol compliant
I don't know what they mean.
What to do about Mario Kart 8 character loading issues?
I know there was a similar issue like this already but I feel mine is a bit more different and I'm growing really frustrated as well as furious and upset regarding this since I'm at the point of no hope.
You see I got a Wii U and Mario Kart 8 as a birthday present in November.
Everything went fine for a little bit until I tried playing Mario Kart 8 a second time, the screen where the character screen is at completely freezes up.
I keep on trying this and there's no luck.
I took it (the game) with me when I went over to my sister's for Christmas and had my Grandma exchange it for another one... I brought the new one back and this time it was even worse since I couldn't play it at all not even a single race.
We called Nintendo and they suggested some things (such as deleting the Mario Kart update and then re-downloading it) and no go there either.
She even suggested to send it in to United Radio along with the Wii U to see if they could do anything about it. I just got it back today saying they replaced the game disc and whatever they did (personally I have my own opinions about what they did or didn't do but I won't share them here) but it's the same issue here.
I just feel sendindg the stuff to United Radio was a waste of time and money so I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what can be done to correct this problem with this Mario Kart 8 game.
Error code 103-1604?
So the past couple of days my wii u has been unable to connect to the Internet at all. I tried looking up the error code and I can't find any information on this specific code. The wifi seems to be working fine on other devices, just not my wii u.
I manually entered my IP information and I was able to use the Internet on my system, however the next day it was not working again, and manually entering the IP did nothing. I'm concerned if this has to do with the recent update or something else, and if there is any way I can fix this? Thank you!
Why is my Wii U Gamepad Not Working?
I just got Wii Party U yesterday and now my GamePad won't connect to the console unless I sit right next to the Wii U. Help!
Wii U Wii Mode does not fill up widescreen
Wii Mode on my Wii U does not fill out wide screen properly. I have an HDMI cable hooked up and it looks lovely on the Wii U half of the system, but if I switch to the Wii Mode menu, it is shrunk down to what looks like 4:3. A large chunk of my TV on the left and right side is unused, beyond what I am able to "zoom" to fix using the TV remote. In addition, everything looks a bit scrunched in compared to the Wii Mode display on the gamepad which is comfortably wide. It is hard to be objective but the fonts all look shrunken and on the TV and correct on the Gamepad.
Is this normal?
Issues with brand new Wii U console shutting down when played on larger tv
On Dec. 28th, I purchased a new Wii U deluxe system. Hooked it up to my Samgsung LED 58' tv and put in Mario 3D. When it got loading and to the point where it shows you which controllers can be used, the whole system shut off. Changed to Mario Kart 8 but had no issues untilI finished a single race and it went to load the 2nd one. System shut off. I've read many discussions and it's all been about the fan over heating and the flashing red light. I dont have any flashing red light at all, just turns off. If I finished a race with my wife, then closed the game myself, then started the game again from the menu, the system would be fine. Thought that was strange, considering it being a new system with less than 2 hours of use. At this point, I figured of trying a few things I had read online. 1 - change the HDMI cord or 2 - try the system on another tv. I switched it to a much smaller 35-37 inch samsung tv and after checking/playing all the games I had, the system never turned off.
Is there something I'm missing here? Im thinking the system is working too hard for the output needed for my larger tv, which makes it reset? Is there a certain limit it can play on?
Wii U plastic appears slightly warped
So, this is odd.
I've had my Wii U for more than a year now, and it's worked fine the whole time (apart from some minor clicking issues that I've already brought up here: ). However, I've always noticed that the console is slightly imbalanced when lying horizontal. Whenever I push on the back right corner, the console rocks a bit. Turns out, it only sits on three nubs. The fourth one, in the back right, is a few millimeters off the tabletop.
(Yes, the tabletop is level. I checked).
For a while, I didn't think much of this, assuming that the back right nub was shorter than the rest. But upon close inspection, I've found that this isn't actually the case. The plastic on my Wii U appears to be warped. It's a bit hard to describe, but it looks like the entire body was twisted ever so slightly.
I have no idea what to make of this, since the console runs just fine. But I've seen others complain about their console wobbling, and it sounds similar to what I'm dealing with. (http://techforums.nintendo.com/message/100672)
If you guys have time, do me a favor. Take a look at your consoles. See if its unbalanced while sitting horizontally. If so, see if you can tell what the cause is. I'd like to know if this is a common defect.
My Wii U was stolen along with all my games. What can I do?
I agreed to a trade with a person on another forum that included my 32 GB Wii U, Gamepad, all cords, stand, etc, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, Metroid Prime Trilogy, ZombiU, Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD, Mass Effect 3: Special Edition, and a Wii Remote Plus and Nunchuk for his PS4 and some games. He claimed that someone scammed him before, so I trusted him after several lengthy conversations, and I decided to send first because he agreed to send the same day. I sent my stuff out with confirmation numbers that show that he received the items yesterday. He has been spinning me ever since and I believe he has scammed me and my Wii U is now stolen.
Is there anything I can do?
Super Mario Galaxy 2 crashes Wii U when loaded from USB drive
Pretty much what the topic says. I bought Super Mario Galaxy 2 on the eShop, it downloaded to my USB hard drive, and when I try to load the game here's what happens:
- Screen goes black.
- Gamepad shows white Wii logo briefly, like it does when you run Wii Mode
- After ~10 seconds, the external hard drive clicks off.
- After 2-3 minutes, the Wii U reboots.
I can fix the problem by moving the game to the System Memory, and from there it loads just fine. But the game is 1.4GB, and my system memory is already pretty close to full. Is there any way to fix this? I'd like to buy more Wii games when they become available, but not if I can only run them off the system memory.
Before anyone says "your external hard drive is broken", I have plenty of other Wii U retail, Wii U download only, and Virtual Console games on there now, and they all load just fine.
Any help would be appreciated!
De-Syncing wii u pro controller
Is there an easy way to de-sync the wii u pro controller? I basically want to be able to walk around with my controller at a tournament without accidentally messing up someone's game by pressing buttons.
Target is closing in Canada, therefore no Rosalina Amiibo in Canada?
Hi there, so Target has announced that they are closing all there stores in Canada. I have heard that they have also canceled all shipments to all Canadian Target locations. Does this mean that Canada will be unable to get Rosalina Amiibos since it is the Target exclusive Amiibo?
Smash Bros. Wii U glitch preventing feeding equipment to Amiibos?
I've encountered a glitch involving Amiibos in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.
It happens whenever I enter the Amiibo section of the menu and load in certain Amiibos to access the presents they brought and then move to the editting and customizing screen. When the glitch occurs, I can no longer access the "Feed Equipment" option. The game gives me an untrue "No Equipment Available" error message pop-up. Backing out and reloading the Amiibo does not fix this, nor does quitting the game proper.
The only fix I've found was to tediously go into the character/mii fighter customization section and selling a piece of equipment everytime the glitch occurs.
The glitch does not occur with all my Amiibos, only Marth and Mario have recently begun to cause this(I've used Amiibos since the game and Amiibos' launch with no problem before recently) but once the glitch occurs, all Amiibos become affected and unable to be fed equipment until I do the selling equipment fix.
Is Nintendo aware of this issue? Can we expect some sort of update to prevent this problem in the future?
Wii U pop-up on Internet Browser
I opened the Internet Browser and was attempting to type in youtube.com but accidentely clicked on another of google's suggestions. Now I Have an open tab with a pop-up that keeps looping (something about a security breach and to call this number) I "x" it out but it keeps popping up.
I found a suggestion to open the notifications tab then click on the blue globe at the bottom to open a new tab. This works, however, the previous tab is still open and looping. I have tried to hold the B button down to close it out but it pops up too fast. Please help!
Can I reset my Fit Meter without losing progress in the walking challenges in Wii Fit U?
My Fit Meter was recently damaged by being washed accidentally in a pocket of my shorts, and it was dried then started to function partially again. It isn't recording steps and calories correctly though, so I thought about trying to reset it in an attempt to fix it. Can I reset the Fit Meter in the options section of Wii Fit U (left option) without losing my walking challenge data? I have a lot of effort put into that progress, so I would like to reset just the Fit Meter to set it up again. Is it safe/possible?
