Charged my card but didn't receive money?

Hello! Last night I was trying to buy Mario maker using a credit card. The first time I went through the process of putting in my detaila and finally clicking add a error came up. I didn't give it much thought and processed to do the transaction again. That time it added the funds. For some reason my credit card was charged twice. How can I reverse the effects of one of the charges? Thanks!

Bought Wii U from a friend

I recently (yesterday) bought a wii u from a friend ( the deluxe set with a digital copy of mario maker installed in it) I created a new NNID and didn'T verify the email until today, Yesterday I could play Mario Maker with ease, but today when i try to launch the game it says to me that the Nintendo account that bought the game is deleted and i have to buy the game again from the Eshop, i've been trying to search my response online but i can't seem to find someone who's had the same problem

Just completed a WiiU to WiiU system transfer and encountered an issue

So my new "target" system doesn't go to the Wii U menu. Instead I get this error:

"ERROR CODE: 114-9024

An error has occurred.

Please restart the console and try again.

Support Information:

5.5.0 U

WUP-101(02)

FW424629641

HAJ2-131X-X375"

It should be noted that my target system error'd out during step 4 of 6. The source system wasn't needed anymore at that point and the target system restarted with my SD card that contained my data from the source system. Help?

Miiverse and online gaming

Hi, I live in Brazil (yes, we're missing some Nintendo's love over here) and I noticed some problems playing through yesterday's Splatfest.

My connection was unstable all the times but my internet connection was OK. I was able to browse normally, accesseing every site I wanted. After reaching the Splatfest King status, I went to Miiverse to see the messages. That's when it stopped working at all. I couldn't access anything or play online again.

I tried to visit Miiverse using my PC and my smartphone and it wasn't working. Then I tried to visit Miiverse not using my internet connection at all, tried using my smartphone internet access and nothing.

And I already contated my internet providers and told them about this problem and they were unable to solve it (but it solved other things and the connection speed improved a little bit). And here I am: no online gaming, no Miiverse, no Splatoon Turf Wars, no Super Mario Maker 100-Mario Challenges, no Animal Crossing travelling.

I really don't think there's any problems with my Wii U or my 3DS because it would mean my PC would need repairs too, since it can't access Miiverse either...

Can you give me any clues for what to do?

What happens if you have both the disc and digital version of a game?

This might be a rather dumb question, but I would like to know what happens with your save files when you have both the retail and digital version of a game. Do they share the same save file, so I can play either one, or do they create separate files on the system? Would they overwrite each other's saves when one of them starts up? There are games that I'm interested in having both versions due to collectability value, hence my curiosity.

Error Code 160-1400

My WiiU has functioned well, but this past week, after playing Smash Bros. WiiU, after closing out the software and returning to the Home menu, I ejected the disc. As it ejected the disc, the screen went black and said that there was a disc drive error and gave me Error Code 160-1400. I powered the system off, followed the instructions, and started it up again and played the game just fine. There are no marks, scratches, fingerprints, or dust on the disc. I tested it out each evening to be sure it was functioning properly, and it was until this evening when it happened again. This time, however, it happened as I inserted the disc instead of removing it. As soon as the system began to pull the disc in, it had the error message. Again, there are no marks or scratches on the disc... I am the only one who handles them. I have played other games during the week, and they have been fine and without that error message. Before that happened, I had just finished playing Disney Infinity 3.0 for about an hour, and it was fine. Any ideas why this might be happening suddenly? My system is never moved and I take great care of it. I just want to make sure nothing is wrong with it, and if there is, if I need to send it in to Nintendo while it is still under warranty.

Another side note: two days ago, when I turned the system on, it told me my TV didn't support the selected resolution, even though it displayed perfectly on the TV. I changed the settings to 720p (it was set to 1080i), and it was fine and didn't ask for that again. Thanks for any help!

Lag for disc games and loud disc drive

Hey, I got a Wii U this past week and have been loving it, but it seems that the disc drive is WAY too loud, even when on the Wii U menu, and along with that I've been noticing lag for games that are on disc, specifically when I press plus to speed up the credits in Smash and most of MH3U. I don't know what's going on and I don't know if I should just deal with it or get a new one and return this one. Any advice?

[Help] Wiiu Pad error code 165-2378

$

Today I was turning on my WiiU but it didn't recognize my external hard drive so I restarted it with my Pad. The Pad then said it faced some error 165-2378. I turned it off, and it could never be turned on again.

I was sure it had been fully charged so I tried to charge the pad but it couldn't be charged and its battery LED was always off.

Then I plugged out the pad battery, and plugged it into the pad, and the pad could be charged again since its battery LED turned to orange. However, when I turned the pad on, it still showed the error code 165-2378, though WiiU console could be turned on.

There's no information about 165-2378 on Nintendo official site. Could someone help to check what happens to my pad and is there any quick solution for it?

Gateway frequently disconnects Wii U

My Wii U randomly gets the boot from my router. It's been getting pretty annoying. My router is the comcast/xfinity dpc3941T gateway, and my wii u is up to date (5.5.0 U).

I've been trying everything. I started by resetting the router, then I set a specific IP address for my Wii U, then tried taking the clock battery out of my Wii U, then I tried setting port forwarding. Nothing seems to work, could anyone tell me something I might have missed?

Error Code 105-1184

So my Wii U can connect to the internet, it can visit the eshop, and other people in my region are currently playing online without issue, but when I try to go online in smash, it tells me I need the latest patch. Fair enough, my game is currently 1.1.1, so I exit the game and re-launch it. At this point, the system comes back with error code 105-1184, and nintendo's website says:

"Try your download again.

If you are receiving this error code after multiple attempts, this may indicate a temporary service issue. Please try again later in the day."

If other people near me were having issues, I could see this being a service issue, but they're not. Anyone know what might be going on?

Hi. I'm getting this error code when I try to play an online course in Super Mario Maker. My connections is OK. I can search the e-shop, play Smash Bros online, and even view my notifications in Super Mario Maker.

But when I try to play an online course I get this error. It was fine until yesterday.

I am wondering, who knows if Wii U GamePad is available to Purchase from calling Nintendo? I remember reading about this, but I am not sure. I need a second Wii U GamePad for a replacement, not a repair.

Thank you a lot!

Hi:

Just got back from Denmark, with my son's long desired game Splatoon, just to find out it wont work due to zone or region problem. We live in Argentina and bougth the Wii U in our last Disney trip to Orlando, USA.  The guy at the danish store said it will work, so I bougth it, as the game is not available here in Argentina. My son is crying rivers. The game is all over youtube and he is seeing youtubers play it since 2 months. I am sure the issue can be solved somehow.

Please help us.

Thanks.

Recomment Wii U features (feedback)

Hi, this is my feedback to the Wii U:

  • GC Controller with USB-Adapter:
It would be good, if you could controll the Wii U menu with the GC Controller like you can do it with the ProController.
It really sucks, to switch from PAD, to Pro to GC-Controller >_>
  • Netflix
If you start the netflix app with the Wii U Pro Controller, the ProController is shut down (offline).
Means you only can control Netflix with the Pad... So the Pad have to be "enabled" all the time...
Even if you don't want to use the Pad. You can't disable the screen. Only on a "hacky" way.
  • Disconnect the PAD completly:
If you have a ProController, or a GC-Controller + USB Adapter, you should be able to disable the Pad completly.
Like "shut down Pad". Only controll the whole Wii U with a controller, instead of the Pad.
It really sucks, to need that big Pad all the time. Even if I watch / Play on my Big TV with a Controller (Pro / GC or whatever).
I need to use the Pad for everything... I want an option, where I just can say [X] Disconnect PAD.
And the Pad is offline, completly !!!
  • Twitch App:
Xbox One have a Twitch App to watch streams. PS4 have one, but it's limited to PS4 streams only. But this month PS4 will get an official twitch app too. How's about Wii U? Will we be able to watch twitch streams on Wii U too, like we are able to watch Netflix?!
  • Better Retro Games!
I thought about buying Ocarina Of Time for the Wii U. But then I figured out: It's not HD (1080p), it's 4:3 not 16:9 and it's below 30FPS.
Like the original game is. Every emulator makes a better result than the Wii U Version. And that makes me sad. 1080p, 16:9 and 20FPS is the best OoT result I got with an simple GC-Emulator. The GC Version of OoT had 20FPS compared to the original version with 15 FPS.
Why we don't get the 3DS-Remake Version for the Wii U? It's 16:9, better graphic features, and I guess fluid 30FPS. Just upscale the textures a bit to 720 or 1080p, antialiasing and done. A perfect OoT Wii U Version. So many people want to play OoT again, because of the good memories.
But they can't because they are used to 60FPS games, and 15FPS is just.... horrible :-( so atleast 30FPS should be the target for OoT Wii U !!!
And 16:9 for sure. Same for all the retro games, like Mario 64 and so on.
  • Mario Kart 64 for Wii U + Network feature (peer to peer):
I often play Mario Kart 64 via Emulator with friends through the kailera network.
We own the N64 Version of it. But we live more then 500km far away of each other.
So that's the only way to enjoy it together ;-)
So, how cool would it be, to just have the N64 Version on the Wii U with a network feature (peer to peer, hosted by the user itself)?!
I don't like emulators, even if that was the only way to play the good old games in "HD" on a big screen.
  • Mario Kart 8:
I bought the Wii U with Mario Kart 8. The game is really fun. BUT we are missing something REALLY improtant. The baloon maps!
I wore a little notice for Mario Kart 8, you can see here: ***Edited to remove external link***
  • Basically:
    - Map Editor which alows us to create our own baloon maps, so Nintendo don't need to do it.
    - 2 Items instead of only 1 Items if you drive over a ? because it's more strategical. Like it was on Mario Kart 64.
    - Different Modis. Kill a ballon and add it to yourself. Kill a ballon and the baloon is gone completly, and other ideas.
Just read the pastie I made, to understand it completly :-)

Overall, the Wii U is great.
But the need of the Pad (not being able to shut it off completely) is just driving me crazy...

And the "poor" retro game section, makes me sad a little. For example:
There are remakes of "The Last Of Us" for the PS4, wich have 45-60FPS instead of 15-30FPS like the PS3 Version.
And upscaled to 1080p! It feels a bit sad, that we just get "the old stuff" on Wii U. Have to pay it, even if we own it already on the N64.

And we get "no benefit" of it. The same low FPS, 4:3 and not HD at all. I talked to a lot of my friends.
They would pay 30-60€ for a 1080p 60FPS OoT "remake". This means, just upscaled to 1080p, antialiasing over it, and increase the FPS.

At least good fluid 30FPS would be enough. 60FPS would be just OP. For myself. I would pay 60€ for 60FPS OoT.

And 30€ for 30FPS :-P 1€ for each FPS :-P

That's just my 2 cents.
I owned all the next gen consoles. PS4, Xbox One and the Wii U. Sold the One for the PS4 because of better exclusives.
So I can compare all consoles. Which isn't needed. Because every console have benefits :-)
Just saying, that the points above, would make the Wii U "perfect" for me.

Cheers
