Just completed a WiiU to WiiU system transfer and encountered an issue

So my new "target" system doesn't go to the Wii U menu. Instead I get this error:

"ERROR CODE: 114-9024

An error has occurred.

Please restart the console and try again.

Support Information:

5.5.0 U

WUP-101(02)

FW424629641

HAJ2-131X-X375"

It should be noted that my target system error'd out during step 4 of 6. The source system wasn't needed anymore at that point and the target system restarted with my SD card that contained my data from the source system. Help?

Hi there

I just bought i brand new Wii U premium..

The pad works just fine.. The blue light isnt flashing.. But nothing show up on my TV..
It's a panasonic TV.. Tried both HMDI slots in my TV.. Tried a different HDMI cable and still nothing..
When i go into the settings on the controller, it has for some reason set the TV connection to non-HDMI..
But when i try to change it to HDMI i tells me to check the connection and that it cant connect to the TV..

The WII U i brand new so i'm hesitant to call it a hardware malfunction but i really cant figure out what else it should be :-/

Thank you for reading

My new Wii U cant connect through HDMI. Please help

Hi there

Wrote a post earlier on about how i couldnt get my brand new Wii U working.. The problem is that the machine wont show up on the TV..
Turns out that AV works just fine (had one from my old Wii)..
But playing on a 46" screen without hd is kinda.. well.. not pretty

I've tried another HDMI cable and the one it came with..
I've tried my TV and both my computer screens..
Nothing seems to respond.. Even though the error message was slightly different on one of the screens (just a "could not perform changes" or something like that", where the others tells me that i cant connect to the tv)

I've been into settings and changed no HDMI, and tried all the various settings.. Nothing seems to work..

Am I looking at a hardware error? or is there something that i've missed?

I recently bought the super mario maker wii u bundle and have had fun with the system except at times the gamepads framerate will drop or hiccup to the point where i can't actually play the game. Is something wrong with the console or the gamepad? Have only had it for about two weeks so im kinda dissapointed.

Question about NNID accounts on Wii U

So a few months ago I made my friend an account on my Wii U so he could play games on it. I delinked the account shortly after beause i found out he was just using one of my alts for it.

The question I'd like to ask is if that account, which has been removed from my Wii U for a long while, gets Miiverse banned, will my accounts get banned too? I won't go too into detail, but he's purposely trying to get the account banned on Miiverse.

Parental Control Reset

I recently bought a Wii U from a friend, but he forgot to inform me that he had bought it from someone else. I am trying to get the Parental Control off, I actually have followed the steps of getting it off. I received my Master Key recently and it does not work at all. I have no idea what to do next, do I just keep spending $0.50 until I get the right key to reset it?

Wii menu on Wii U

Using a Wii game requires using the Wii menu mode on the Wii U. While the Wii remote is working the cursor in the Wii menu constantly goes off screen and it is very difficult to get it into position to push the button to start the game.

Once in the game the Wii remote works fine. This is highly annoying.

Need to replace game, will all DLCs still be there?

My 3-year old has cracked our Mario Kart 8 disc so I need to get a new one.  Are all the profiles and additional detail (DLCs etc) on the WiiU?  In other words, when I put in the new disc, will it be as if nothing happened?

Wii-U Will not connect to existing Nintendo ID (from 3DS)

I just bought A Wii U and would like to download a game so I can ue the system. However I already have a Nintendo Network Id and do not want to create a new one.

I can never succesfully connect my Wii U to my nintendo network ID. I'm positive I'm using the right account and password, and even verified it by logging into the Miiverse web page.

I've read work arounds of transfering an existing Mii from my 3DS to my Wii U and then restarting the system, then pulling up the Mii's information and trying to associate that specific Mii to your Network ID.

This does not work.

Any assistance would be appreciated. I have my system here and I cant enter my Mario Maker code to play my new system because of this issue.

Formatting a Wii U and then using external hard drive

Hi there.

I've been having a pretty unlucky day with my Wii U. I brought my Wii U along to my father's house and had trouble with the TVs not recognising the console through the HDMI cord (it had worked previously on these TVs, and had been working the day before on the TV at my mother's house). Seemed to be a pretty common problem but I was unable to find much information about it on the net, with most people seeming to send it away to be fixed.

Anyway, in my several hours of frustration I did a factory reset of the console. Most of my games are physical, but I'd downloaded Xenoblade Chronicles a while ago, which had been on the 60gb external hard drive I had connected to my Wii U. All of my save data/downloaded content was also on the hard drive. Before we took the console to be looked at, I thought I'd double check that I could actually access the games on the hard drive, but it only gave me the option to reformat it. I did some reading and was well aware that a hard drive could only be formatted to be used on one console, but I'd assumed that resetting the Wii U wouldn't affect that, since it's still the same console.

So it seems as though, even if I can get the Wii U to work through HDMI again, I've lost all my saves. I wouldn't particularly mind, usually, since I can redownload the games themselves, but the 90+ hours I put into Xenoblade and all my save data from all my other games seem to be gone. Which is extremely frustrating.

I was wondering if I'm just missing something (I really hope I am) and the hard drive is still somehow compatible and I'm just stupid, or whether I really have lost everything. And if so, if there's any way for that to be recovered or for my console to be returned to the same way it was before so they're still compatible. I'd really rather not have to replay through another 90 hours of Xenoblade just to see the ending.

Any information at all would be a massive help. I'm holding out on sending the Wii U away until I can find out whether or not my saves are a lost cause.

Thanks bunches in advance!!

New Super Mario Bros. U + Luigi U download size

I've had New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U on my wishlist for a while now. When I finally decided to purchase the games from the eShop this morning, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the games have now been bundled into one download, hence saving me some money. However, now the eShop page is listing the game's filesize as 14.2 GB! My stomach churned quite a bit, but then I realized the original downloads were roughly 3 GB total, and I was sure this is an error in the page listing...

However, there is a separate listing on Nintendo's online store for New Super Mario Bros. U + New Super Luigi U which lists the game's size as 13.61 GB.

Now I'm a bit worried, as two separate incorrect filesize listings for a two-year-old game seems unlikely. I mean, how could this game possibly be larger than more recent titles? Has something been updated or added to the game, and if so, why wouldn't this be publicized? Old website articles I've dug up list the game as a compact 2 GB with the DLC at around 700 MB. Can someone please shed some light on this situation? I seriously hope it's merely an eshop error and I'm worrying for nothing.

How to rescue photos and files from RAW file system pen drive?

$

Hello, hope you have useful solutions for me! This morning, when opening a Transcend USB flash drive on my PC, it is shows: "The disk is not formatted. Do you want to format it now?" Open its properties interface and check it there. Its used space and free space are both 0 bytes. Its file system type is also in RAW. What does that indicate? My flash drive is damaged or corrupted somehow? Since I still need the inner stored documents and photos, I do have checked the related topic online and found many forum threads recommended people to use RAW file system flash drive recovery software, like

http://www.icare-recovery.com/howto/flash-drive-raw-format-asking-to-reformat.html

And http://www.piriform.com/recuva

How do you think? I really have no idea about such software and data recovery information. Thank you for any suggestion here!

HELP! Gamepad issues with Super Mario Maker

$

I'm hoping that someone can help or tell me what I'm doing wrong. I downloaded Super Mario Maker through my bundle code (actually just bought the Wii U specifically FOR this game.) I downloaded the update, fired it up and started playing. Did the little 5 second run through the tutorial level before the "looks like someone didn't finish the course" message pops up to lead you into the actual building/making portion of the tutorial. One big problem--my gamepad virtually stops working at this point. Up and down work on the D-Pad and Joystick and the touchscreen works and that is literally it. Mario/the camera does not move right. Start and select does nothing. The shoulder buttoms do nothing. A, B, X & Y do nothing.

Some other observations that hopefully help guide me towards an answer/resolution:

I am able to move the camera if I use a Wii Remote. The second I press anything on the Wii U Gamepad, however, Mario moves all the way back to the beginning of the level without me touching anything. (He technically moves past the start of the level until he is as far as he can go to the left part of the screen.)

The joystick gives off the impression that it is stuck to the left, but I assure you it is not. It works for other games, it works for menu navigation and it worked for that 5 second "play" at the beginning of the tutorial of Super Mario Maker itself (I can freely move him left or right and the buttons to run and jump work just fine.) Only when I enter the builder/maker mode of the tutorial does this issue start.

Since none of the buttons work, the only way I can exit the tutorial is by doing a hard close of the game itself.

I've restarted the game and my Wii U several times to no avail. Same issue everytime. Can anyone please help so I can finally start enjoying the game?

**UPDATE** I have now resynced my Wii U Gamepad and that did not fix the problem. I have also deleted the game and update file and redownloaded/reinstalled it and even that did not fix the problem either. I managed to frustratingly finish the tutorial by using the Wii Remote and can now confirm that the Gamepad issue is ONLY during build mode. I can download and play other levels without issue, I just can't make anything.

Thanks!

Wii U : Error Code 160-0103

First of all I apologize for my English, I'm using Google translator why am Brazilian and my English is not very good...

Recently my Wii U gave the error 160-0103 problem with memory and now I do not know what to do ... this error just happened out of nowhere, it's not like the error of the game Smash Bros because unlike him it happens differently

I turn on my Wii U, it appears the logo of the Wii U addition of background music and after a few seconds the message with the error, I can not even enter the console menu...

unfortunately there is no how to send my console for Nintendo Of America (after all ... I'm Brazilian) then the only solution I have is to try to see if there is any procedure that I can do to fix it right here

some people have recommended such procedures:

  1. Restart the console and several several times until one of the times it will be able to go to the menu, so in this case I will try to force the update

2-  Remove the cable from the AC Adapter for a few seconds and try to turn it on again

3-  Leave on for a few hours on and off and then on again...

4-  Remove the console's internal battery as this will reset it to factory default I think...

however not tried any of them still afraid to make matters worse, what should I do?, any solution for this? if I do such procedures will worsen my wii u?

Two Consoles in same room

Hi, kids really want a Wii U for Christmas, but are at the stage where they play different games. If we bought 2 consoles and hooked them up to the same TV, would they work at the same time? Obviously, at least one of the kids would be using the hand control only, but would the two sets of wifi signals with two identical consoles intefere with each others controls? I don't really want to buy two consoles, only to find we can only use one. They would definitely need to be set up in the same room. Any advice is appreciated!

Thanks

Fatal Frame Censoring

Hey, I didn't know where else to put this, but I just wanted to let you know I was going to buy Fatal Frame for Wii U when it was released and was looking forward to it, but because of the way it was handled, I won't be purchasing anymore and wanted to let you know you lost a sale.

I'm a 34 year old male.  I have a family, wife and two kids, and those costumes that were left out mean nothing to me.  I'll never play the game more than once, and I'll never unlock them.  I don't find them titilating or attractive, but I don't want content cut from a game because a publisher doesn't think I can handle it.  This is an M rated title, and content should be cut from M rated titles due to a provocative nature.  It's ridiculous.

Look at other Forums like GameFAQs and NeoGaf.  You've lost more potential sales than gained with this decision.  People won't stand for censorship in this day and age.

Thank you for your time.
