I've scoured the internet trying to find an answer to this question. I recieved the notification in game that I could use amiibo functions, I can enter the Cave of Shadows and replenish items using the various LoZ amiibos but the Quick Start option using Wolf Link doesn't appear for me. I've tried going in to the save menu and using it, looked at the manual, read anything I can online, but no one can tell me why (or when) it will work. If its not until a specific point in the game, thats fine but can someone tell me when that is? Thanks.

Wii Remotes plus disconnects on Wii U but works fine on Wii
Hi,
I have a problem with Wii Remote Plus. It works great with Wii but disconnects every couple of minutes (sometimes less) during motion plus games on Wii U.
Symptoms:
Wii U: During Nintendoland Zelda Battle Quest the Wii Remote Plus disconnects every 1-5 minutes, sometimes it vibrates for 5 seconds. It doesn't respond to button presses for 10-15 seconds. After that pressing A reconnects it and I can play until next disconnect
Wii U: in Wii Sport Resort (Wii mode) it would disconnect in Swordplay Showdown the same as in Zelda Battlequest
Wii U in Wii mode: in Wii Sport Resort during opening parachute jump sequence the Wii Remote Plus disconnected on me several times (during 1 or 2 minutes the jump takes). It would disconnect, reconnect after 5-10 seconds, prompt recalibration and then disconnect AGAIN when face down recalibrating,
Wii: I've tried the same disc Wii Sports Resort with the same games (Swordplay, Skyjump) but on Wii and it worked fine. Not a single disconnect during 2 hours of testing.
What I've tried
Resyncing the Wii Remote Plus
Syncing to Wii then to Wii U again multiple times
Switching off the Wii U, removing power cord for a couple of minutes.
Changing sensitivity (I suppose it shouldn't matter)
Switching batteries - the Wii Remote Plus has the same problem even seconds after inserting brand new non-rechargeable batteries (I mostly use non-rechargables).
removing batteries from Wii Remote Plus for a couple of minutes as described here - still no effect.
Also my other counterfeit wii remotes work fine on Wii U, I've played two hours of Battlequest with no disconnects
I'm certain that my controller is genuine as I have a couple of counterfeit controllers as well as an original Wii Remote. The problematic remote was bought used but with original packaging and it has all the original markings on it.

Super Mario Maker Bookmark site issue
I'm not entirely sure if this is a Wii U issue, exactly, but it does entail SMM, so...
Anyways, there's been an issue with some userpages on the SMM Bookmark site no longer updating. Provided this happened prior to the update to the site, these users also get a 404 error trying to view their World Records and other new features, and that's kind of an issue.

Did my Seagate External Hard Drive die?
Alright, so the past month or two we've been having issues with accessing the external hard drive. Turns out, what I thought I ordered ( Seagate STBV1000100) was actually apparently the older model (Seagate SRD00F2).
Now we had used this hard drive for about a year before we saw any of these issues. It is externally powered but I am running only a single usb cable (not a y).
I can look at the HD on my wii, but when I'm trying to acess data or download new games onto it, it's giving me errors. A few easy questions to see if it's worth my time to keep trying to use this HD or if I just need to get a new one.
1.) Do you think I would benefit from trying a y cable? I don't currently own one so I'd have to go out and get one. However, as I stated, this HD is already externally powered.
2) Do you believe that the issues I'm seeing are a result of slight incompatiability since it is the older model (bare in mind though I did buy it brand new in box about 13 months ago).
3) Am I hopeless trying to avoid spending money when it's obivious that my hd is currently nothing more than a black paper weight with a small blue LED on it.
4) Do any of you have a recommendation for a HD?
5) If a train leaves Pittsburgh Pennsylvania traveling 60mph and another train leaves chicago traveling 45 mph, how quickly do you think I can resolve this issue before I take it outside and smash the hard drive with a ball peen hammer.

Did my wii u just brick itself?
Have a question.... i haven't played my wii u in a while (after latest smash bros update, the one w/bayonetta and corrin) and well i noticed the game was loading longer than usual. i do have a hard drive attached to the wii u (have tons of games downloaded there) and i decided to move the smash bros data data to the console in hopes that it would load faster. well as i was doing so, the wii u would crash... completely, and well i figured i would just let it be for now, had other things to work on... now that i turned on my wii u, it will turn on, but it wouldn not go to the menu.... the gamepad would tell me that its not connecting to the wii u, to move it closer. its not giving me any error codes.... anyone else run w/the same issue? any nintendo tech available for advice??? thanks...

Splatoon! - Missing Snail Shells from last splatfest
The last time I played was for the previous NA Splatfest (Red vs Blue). I was on the winning side, and made my way to King level, so I should be receiving 26 shells.
I logged in today to see the new splatfest announcement. However, I was surprised to see that I did not receive my snail shells from the previous Splatfest. Kinda bummed me out, since it took a few hours to earn them.
Do I have recourse?

Splatoon's Blackbelly Skatepark is Broken
We have been playing Splatoon since last fall and I cannot understand why you have not gotten rid of Blackbelly Skatepark. Although the design of the stage has been quite well made and I am certain that in your test network the stage works perfectly. However, over the real-world Internet the stage is almost unplayable. I do understand that every stage can have its problems, I can accept dropped connections and I have seen dropped connections on every stage. But Blackbelly Skatepark is far more problematic than a simple disconnect. I have played far too many games in Blackbelly Skatepark where I have hit an opponent more than 10 times without killing them and then they take one shot at me and I die. To add to the frustration, the rounded surfaces in the stage require such a high volume of data flow that if there is even a slight delay over the Internet, your ink does not show up for 2, 3 or even 4 seconds. (Yes, I have timed it.) In a game where every second counts these delays are unacceptable.
I am a level 50 player and I have taken two different weapons to their maximum scores of 999,999 points, I have another gun at 470,000 points so as you can see I am not a casual player but a dedicated fan of the game. Blackbelly Skatepark, however, is so frustrating to play that it amost makes me want to abandon the game completely and over the months we have owned the game, the issues with Blackbelly Skatepark have become worse. As more and more gamers purchase the game and your servers are called upon to deal with more and more clients, the inadequate design of the Skatepark has become more and more frustrating. It completely ruined the last Splatfest.
Quite frankly the complexity of the level and the level of detail than must be successfully transmitted is too much for a real-world Internet connection. Please! Fix Blackbelly Skatepark or else just delete it.

My WiiU is having disc reading errors, and in the process of filing my repair order, pressing continue after acknowledging that my problem may not be a manufacter error it just refreshes the page I was on. This is happening on the web browsers Opera, Chrome, and Firefox.

Permanently Banned from using Miiverse
My Wii game pad charger stopped working a while ago, so I didn't want to use my Wii u until I got a new charger. So I started using Miiverse on my smartphone. I started making silly emoji posts (some of which were inappropriate, I'm not going to lie) nothing really bad happened until I got a notification that one of the emoji posts were deleted. Then slowly, more and more of my posts were being deleted, even the ones that weren't inappropriate. Then I got the notification that I was banned. (This was my 4th ban) Then I got the permanent ban notification. I understand that I deserved to get banned, but not perma-banned. The past 3 temporary bans were all misunderstandings and none of the posts that were involved were inappropriate. This should really be my first ban.
So my question is: Is there any possible way to unban the account? This was my main account and I had many good friends, decent amount of followers, and some very nice drawings that everyone loved. I really do not want to restart everything on an alternate account. My smash bros win rate, Xenoblade Chronicles X progress, anything. So, again, is there ANY way I can fix this?

Wii U Locking Up during Standby functions
Hi all.
I've owned a Wii U Premium since launch, and over the last month, I've had an issue where the Wii U seems to get stuck, or locks up, while it's performing standby functions (when the yellow light is on). It's only happened twice, but I'm looking for advice on how to fix or prevent it from happening again.
When it happened, I noticed that my Wii U had the yellow standby light on for a long period of time (usually a few hours). If I try to start the console in this state, the blue light comes on, but the GamePad does not, there's no signal sent to the TV, and the disk tray doesn't seem to operate (at least, it doesn't make the usual noise on start-up). If I try to reset the console by holding the power button down, it won't reset. The only way I seem to be able to turn the console off is by unplugging it. When I plug it back in and press the power button, it starts up normally as if nothing happened.
Just a couple of extra notes:
- My Wii U is up to date (running firmware 5.5.0 E)
- The first time this issue happened, it was downloading the recent Hyrule Warriors update during standby (and completed the download/installation after I reset the console). When it happened today, there was no sign of anything being downloaded or installed to my system.
- I'm using an external hard drive which is about two years older than the console. It has its own power supply. I haven't activated the hidden feature that stops the hard drive turning off while the console is on.
- My Wii U connects to the Internet wirelessly.
- Originally I had set it up so that it connects to the Internet once an hour during standby. I've now set this to be six hours.
I suspect that it's either the Wii U losing connection to my router (they're fairly close together but I've had a slow network this morning when I had the problem), or it's my external hard drive being turned off before data's been properly sent/downloaded.
Has anyone else come across a similar problem?

Will digital pre-orders bind to the user's NNID?
I've digitally preordered Pokken Tournament, and was wondering if the game will be linked to my NNID.
Currently I use our Family WiiU, but will later buy my own WiiU. Naturally I will want to transfer both Pokken Tournament and Super Smash Bros 4 bto the new console. (Both versions of SSB4 are tied to my NNID)
So if I log in with my WiiU account, (linked to my NNID) and use the code, will the game be locked to my NNID?
Furthermore, will the two games move to the new console if I transfer the NNID from one WiiU to the other via calling Support?

Battle for Earth (system freeze)
Hello,
I recently download Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth from the shop. When I am at the title screen and press A to start, the Wii U makes a high pitch sound for about 6-8 seconds and my console freezes. This is the only game that does it. I've deleted the game and all related files and redox loaded it and it does the same thing. My system is up to date as well. Please help.

Can't find MineCraft on Wii U Menu
I purchased MineCraft yesterday from eshop for my son and on the download screen it says the software has installed start the game from the Wii U menu. When I go to the Wii U menu the game isn't showing. Not sure what to do now or how to get the game to show up.
