Hello, I purchased a new Wii U and new Wii U remote. I have some older Wii games I wish to play on it. I've entered the Wii menu, synced the Wii U remote several times and can navigate and use it just fine. After syncing the remote the last screen titled "Staring Wii Menu. Select a Disply Option" I get two options of "TV Only" or "TV and Gamepad". They are BOTH highlighted in blue and although my wii remote works everywhere else it will NOT let me select either of these two options. It will allow me using the Wii U remote to select B which is to cancel out of this. I cannot get passed this screen. Other than to cancel. I do not seem to have an option which allows me using any tool to select "Tv Only" or "Tv and Gamepad". I've also done all the updates and verified there are no other updates to perform. I ultimately want to play the older games on this machine but cannot get passed this screen. Please help.

What settings do I use for my sony bravia kdl32l4000 for my wii u
I want to experience the HD on my tv but I don't know the settings
Nintendo ID Created But Never "Linked"
I created a Nintendo ID with my preferred screen name on a Wii U (we'll call this NNID #1). When I got to the dialog that talks about "linking" the Ninendo ID to the console and how "this can not be changed once linked" I backed out. Instead, I created a throwaway account (NNID #2) and linked that one instead so that I could start exploring the online content on the Wii U.
I now own another Wii U. This is the unit I want to use the Nintendo ID I originally created (NNID #1) and never actually linked on my first Wii U. But when I go through the dialog to "link an exsiting Nintendo ID" and put in the info for NNID #1, I am presented with an error message saying that NNID #1 is linked to another console.
I'm confused. I specifically avoided linking NNID #1 to the first Wii U I had because I was afraid of something like this happening. Because I never linked NNID #1 I should be able to use it on a different console, right? Or is it the case that since I created NNID #1 on a different Wii U, that now it is locked to that console. If that's how it works, why even give the warning that "this can't be changed later" when running through the linking dialog?
Can I link the account created on my first Wii U (NNID #1), to my new Nintendo Wii U?
can I use sd card in both wii and wii u without formatting
What I want to know is if I transfered a save file say Maro Kart Wii and put it on the SD card in the Wii then turn on the Wii U enter wii mode and put the SD card in the Wii U can I transfer saves over to the Wii Mode on the Wii U how does that work?
With the Gamecube and Original Wii. I could have my Wii at home and gamecube at the cottage and use the same games and same memory card at both locations
Wii U eshop still wont work
I got my Wii U during the great eshop crash of christmas '13 and was patient during that time. but by now the eshop seems to have long since been fixed for everyone but me. it still crashes shortly after i enter it and begin browsing every time i try. sometimes i cant even get in the eshop. all my other online services on the wii u work perfectly and i can use the eshop on the 3ds just fine. any hints to what my problem may be?
Wii Fit U & Fit Meter
If I purchase the Fit Meter, am I on the hook for then having to pay the full amount for the full version of Wii Fit U? I may not be looking hard enough, but I don't see the ful version on the eShop, only the demo version which I have been using for working out religiously. What I don't want to do is spend $20 for the meter, then find out I have to spend $40 for a download when I can get the disc copy and the meter for $40. I'd prefer a download for simplicity's sake. Can anyone help me with this?

Can you NOT play ANY Wii U games without being connected to the Internet??
Okay so Every time I bought a game I had to constantly sit through that intolerably annoying update screen. I don't know why they would make a game system unable to just start a new game when you first get it but always make you update even if it was a brand new game that you got on launch day right from the store, but whatever. Anyway, I wanted to start fresh on my ZombiU game (because it was getting pretty littered with all my dead survivors being listed) so I wiped everything ZombiU from the Wii U and started new. Apparently my internet had gone down during this time briefly because it tried to update and couldn't and, worst of all, then wouldn't let me play the game AT ALL.
After the internet came back up I updated the game and everything wroked fine, but then I got worried, so I deleted the entire files of a few other Wii U games, shut off the internet completely (as in deleted the wifi network from the Wii U's memory) and lo and behold not a SINGLE Wii U game would let me start up without updating first!! Of all the missteps Nintendo has made that I can overlook, this is a pretty major flaw! Are you seriously telling me I am unable to play games for the first time unless I am connected to the internet?! Why on earth would you make a console that REQUIRED internet access to even START the game for the first time? Obviously if you want in game connectivity, spot pass, miiverse and all that other stuff then great, obviously you need internet, but if I bring my console somewhere where there is no internet, or say I simply don't want my console to be connected to the internet anymore, I just am not allowed to ever get a new game ever? That's pretty ridiculous!
Please tell me there is some setting I am overlooking, because if the Wii U is unable to function as a GAME system unless it's connected to the internet, this is an unbeleivable stupid move on Nintendo's part! Come on! Donwloadable content, update patches, virtual console, miiverse, sure, all of that makes sense to require internet access, but I cannot play a new game out of the box unless I update it? OMG!! That is pure lunacy!!
Wii U
Dose anyone know why there would a yellow light instead of red light. It turns yellow every once in awhile. Pleaslrt me know.
wii u
1 suggeston I heard that the wii u is kinda failing is this is true or not if so you guys can go 3rd party so they could still develop their own games except on more powerful hardware without limitations. They could also take as long as needed to develop their games without reasonable complaints because they wouldn't be the console maker. I don't think it will ever happen but it wouldn't be a bad thing.
So, what happens if one of your Nintendo IDs gets permabanned from Miiverse?
It just happened (unfairly, mind you. I tried to call them, but they NEVER listen to me and try to say it's my fault when it's not).
Do I lose my games, or am I just not allowed to go on Miiverse via that ID anymore?
