Everytime I have my External Hdd hooked up to my Wii U it gives me error code: 160-2713. The error code says that the usb device has been removed, or it may not be getting enough power and I should be using a Y-cable or an ac adapter. I have an external powered western digital hard drive. I have tried disabling quick menu, didn't do anything. Tried using front usb port, didn't do anything. Tried using a y-cable with my external powered hdd, didn't do anything. Tried taking out my sd card, also didn't do anything. I played lego city undercover from the hard drive a week before the 5.0 update. eer since the update i can't even have the hard drive hooked up to my wii u. I bought MK8, and now I can't even download Pikmin 3. This is very, very frustrating. Does anybody have any ideas?

Can't get Bayonetta discount?
So I bought B2 from the eshop and then I was going to buy B1 but the price didnt go down, it doesnt even say discount. Any advice?
Purchased both Bayonetta games on eShop - didn't get discount
So I purchased both games on the eShop right at midnight and only noticed after I purchased them that the discount wasn't applied. Is there any way of getting a credit for the difference?
Will the same save data work for both disc and download?
If I have a game both digitally and on-disc, and I eventually switch from using one to the other, will my save data still work? I ask this because I'm downloading Bayonetta 2, but I'm going to buy a physical copy (I went to Walmart to get a copy at midnight and they yanked me around for an hour before saying they didn't have it, so I had to download), and when I delete Bayonetta 2 from my Wii U and switch to the disc, I want to make sure I can still use my save data. I'm aware you can delete the application without deleting its save data, but I don't know if it will recognize it's the same game, just in a different format. Any clarification I could get on this would be great. Thanks!
Smash Bros Wii U Download Size?
Hi, I am opting to directly download the new Smash Bros to my Wii U, however after yesteradys direct I'm getting the feeling that the game will probably be huge in size given all the content. I currently have about 11 GB left on my console, hasthere been any indication about the download size of the game released at all? Can we expect to get this information soon? I like the convenience of having titles like Mario Kart and 3D World, and hopefully Smash Brothers on my system from the go since I like popping in tothem frequently. I know external drives are a thing, but for the time being I would prefer not to get one. If Smash Bros is going to be too huge a download for me, I'd rather just get it physical. I may just preorder Smash in case.
Thanks for your time.
Wii U Gamepad will not connect to console?
We bought our Wii U last Christmas (December 2013), and it worked perfectly fine until August of this year. Suddenly, the Wii U Gamepad would no longer connect with our console. We have tried everything from trying to re-sync the Gamepad (with the sync button on the back of the Gamepad) to plugging it into the console with a USB cord, but it still will not connect. The Gamepad will still turn on, but a message pops up saying that it cannot connect to the console. For some reason, no matter what we try, it will no longer connect to the console. Is there anything we can do? Can this be fixed without sending the console back to Nintendo for repairs, or should we contact Nintendo to set up a repair? Thank you for your help.
Hyrule Warriors DLC dilemma. "Master..." purchased, replace w/"Heroes..." ???
The "Heroes of Hyrule" DLC offer was put up but we didn't have the funds to get that just yet. Instead, what we did was we got the "Master Quest" pack thinking it'd be just "for now" and then purchase the "Heroes..." DLC when we get the funds. // We now have the funds but to our surprise, the "Heroes..." pack cannot be purchased because it "contains downloadable content" we already have. With a little thinking about data redundancy, I understand that's a problem... but... is there a way that the "Master Quest" data can be uninstalled (so the store doesn't see it on our Wii U anymore), not playing on the saved game with "Master Quest" data (so it doesn't read data that's not there at this point), purchase and install the "Heroes..." pack and it'll just slide in so the saved game will read the "Heroes..." version of "Master Quest" data?
Error Code 107-6811
I had a Pikmin 3 Code for the Wii U. I got this code from the deal with Mario Kart 8. I got the hard drive to download it then it says the code is expired with this code 107-6811. Can anyone help?
Both the Wii and the Wii U's NES emulator have color issues
The original NES hardware will offer bright and vibrant looking colors whereas Nintendo's NES emulator for three generations running has screwed up the NES color palette leaving it dark and drab looking (Animal Crossing's unlockable NES games and the two NES Zelda's on the Collector's Edition disc for the GameCube share this issue).
At least the folks at M2 have gotten it right by toning down the brightness output on Wii U GBA downloads to correct for the overbrightening that 1st party GBA games typically did to assist visibility on the unlit original GBA's screen.
Gamepad touchscreen is stuck, sorta...
Ayyy...I just can't catch a break from my consoles mildfunctioning, can I?
So a week ago, my Wii U Gamepad touchscreen became unresponsive. It's not broke; it still outputs an image and everything, the touchscreen simply has a problem. I can't use the analog sticks to toggle, because some force is being applied to the bottom right corner of the screen. I tried pressing the TV button, and I was right; all the inputs just go to the bottom of the screen. I don't have any screen protectors or attachments either. I can't calibrate the touchscreen because it's darn near impossible to toggle through the System Settings. I'm guessing when I packed my Wii U up for going on a trip, other things in my luggage my have crushed my Gamepad screen and caused to only be responsive on one side of the screen.
I would love to know if there is a (preferable easy) solution to this problem.
Wii U GamePad Touch Screen and Gyroscope problem
So my GamePad has had a problem with it's touch screen and gyroscope. The accelerometer works just fine, being able to track rapid movements, but when I try playing a game such as Wind Waker HD or Sonic Lost World, the gyroscope either freaks out and starts spinning everywhere while the GamePad is motionless, or the movements are messed up where I can only move it up and down or moving to the side in inverted. The Touch Screen however, is functional when I first start up the Wii U. After getting to the password screen for my Nintendo Network ID, the Touch Screen either doesn't work at all or often registers that I always touched the bottom left hand corner of the Touch Screen. I believe that the 3DS and the Wii U share the same technology for both the gyroscope and the Touch Screen, but I have yet to come across these problems on my 3DS XL (bought the day it came out). I was hoping someone could get back to me with an explanation of what exactly is going on rather than directions to call Nintendo.
System is impossible to update. Do I need a new Wii U?
Hey guys,
This is my problem with the Wii U i just got for Christmas. I was going through the steps for my intial setting up of my Wii U. When I got to the part where it asked if I wanted to make a new Nintendo Network ID or if i wanted to connect and existing one.
I clicked connect an existing one. Used my log in info and then I got:
Error Code:102-2511
In order to use online services, a system update is required.
Go to System Settings to perform a system update.
So I click the only option OK
Then it brings me back to if I want to Enter my Nintendo Network ID information, with an okay or cancel. If I hit okay it just brings me to logining in nintendo Network ID info again. If I hit cancel it just brings me to if I want to make a new one of link an existing one.
At this point I the home button does nothing, I can't skip the ID set-up part and I can't get past this part of the set up. The Wii U never asked me at any point during the set up about a system update, like i am seeing in Wii U set up videos.
Can anyone help me out or do I just have to wait call nintendo in the morning or return my Wii U? I'm really rather upset. Since I waited a month and a half for this gift. Only have Christmas day off for my work week and won't be able to play with my system until MAYBE saturday if I can figure out what is up with this Wii U.
Want to buy a Wii U LAN Adapter, can't find
Hello everyone,
I want to buy a Wii U LAN adapter (an official Nintendo branded one), but it appears to be missing from the store. I'm told that it has been discontinued.
Is there a chance that it may come back? Are there any Canadian retailers or online stores that will sell an official Wii LAN adapter and not those weird knock-off brands?
New Super Mario Bros U/Super Luigi U can't get past the loading screen
I bought my son the New Super Mario Bros U/Luigi U Deluxe Wii U for Christmas last year and everything has been great until now. The New Super Mario Bros U/Luigi U disc that came with the system will not load up to play. Our Nintendoland and Mario Kart 8 discs work just fine but when we start Mario Bros it freezes at the loading screen. The music keeps playing but everything stops responding and we have to turn it off by holding the power button down on the console. I've inspected the disc and there are no visible scratches.
Is there any solution to this or are we stuck without the game?
What happens if you have both the disc and digital version of a game?
This might be a rather dumb question, but I would like to know what happens with your save files when you have both the retail and digital version of a game. Do they share the same save file, so I can play either one, or do they create separate files on the system? Would they overwrite each other's saves when one of them starts up? There are games that I'm interested in having both versions due to collectability value, hence my curiosity.
Wii U shuts off when trying trying to access Wii mode (NEED HELP)
Hello, I'm having a serious problem and needs to be answered as soon as possible! When my turn on my Wii U, it boots up normally with no problems what so ever. So if I wanted to play (ex. Paper Mario, Super Smash Bros 64, etc.) Of course I would press the Wii mode app. And it would normally ask for a Wii remote. So I would press it with a Wii remote and it would load up. Now here comes the problem. The heath and saftey mode would come up for like, half a second and Bam!! The Wii U shuts off. I captured a video but i don't know how to post it on these forums and I can't post to youtube. My sensor bar is working fine as the lights show up on my camera ()
Everything else works fine. But I remember a looooooonnnnnnnggggg time ago, when I went into Wii mode, and I pressed the disk channel to play Mario Kart wii, and when i pressed start, it said that my memory was corrupted, could this be the cause of this? But that happened probably a year ago so ya.
Please help.

Internet cuts out when Wii U is connected to router
Title essentially says it all. When I have my Wii U connected to the router, the internet cuts out profusely. Not just on my Wii U, but on my laptop as well. This causes annoyances when trying to browse the web at the same time as playing online, and repeatedly being booted out of online Mario Kart matches as well because of communication issues. I can often play for a little over half an hour before a drop-out. I really would appreciate a fix!

So I bought hyrule warriors
Problem is that the text appears fuzzy and unreadable on the TV that I own, is there anyway to fix this?
Mario kart 8 save file question
My current copy of the games' disk is scratched up in areas so I'm going to get another copy of the game as new. When I do, since I still have my old save file of progress from my other Mario kart 8 game, will the old file play with a new disk or any Mario kart 8 disk that's not scratched up? I'm curious because on the new disk, I want to play the old saved file so I don't have to do things over.
Quick Question About Amiibo
I know they said you can fight along side your amiibo but did they say that you can play with them in Classic, All Star, and Team Event mode?
